There's only one problematic thing about your prediction... Are Derby really going to get another 36 points?... :-|

I feel sorry for Fulham. If you'd told them at the start of the season they'd finish with +139 goal difference, they'd probably have taken it.

It is possible, Class1987, but i put into the comp all winning teams to win 2-1 and draws to be 2-2 for the purpose of finishing the table quickly! If we do finish higher i shall be surprised, very surprised indeed! I would also be happy, very happy indeed!

I'd be happy with 62 points and let the table do itself justice. Personally, I feel 62 would be enough to get us at least 7th and Europe .

Lovely stuff. Utter tripe, but loads of fun.

Does anyone know who else will be in for the Intertoto?

I'm sure we'll need to win the CC, as there will be a maximum of 3 teams in the FA Cup 1/4ers who will finish in the top 6. If 2 of them get drawn against each other at EITHER the quarters or semis, then it may be that 6th spot isn't enough for UEFA.

Hence it would be great if teams like Pompey, Villa, Blackburn and West Ham were not in the Intertoto. Really great.

We took 23 points from the corresponding fixtures last season. It would be pretty good if we were to repeat that, except for the fact that we're still 5 points light of last season.

Birmingham (2-0) (Charlton)
West Ham (1-0)
City (2-1)
Chelsea (2-1)
Pompey (2-1)
Newcastle (2-3)
Blackburn (1-1)
Boro (3-2)
Wigan (3-3)
Bolton (4-1)
Reading (1-3)
Liverpool (0-1)

We have to repeat last season's wins and turn around two or three of the games in red. A tall order, to say the least.

But I remain quietly confident.

The hardest part is to repeat the away wins against Birmingham and City. Other than that we should be fine, especially the games in red where we should enormously excel the total we managed last year.

I had us with 62 points, but that is a bit generous. Liverpool get 4th, Everton 5th and we scrape 6th on goal difference. It's more likely we will finish 8 or 9th with around 58 points.

I had Newcastle getting relegated. Honestly they have a shocking run in, think they could struggle to even get the 5 points from 12 games I predicted. Derby finished with only 14 points and a -71 goal difference.

Here are the teams that will finish above us this season: Arsenal, Man U, Chelsea, Liverpool, Villa, Everton, Man City, Pompey, Blackburn. That means we finish in 10th.

We are 12 points from 6th place. We are 10 points off the relegation zone. Considering our start to the season and the fact that only about 8 weeks ago we looked like we might get relegated, we're doing fantastically well under Ramos. Next season we'll do even better. But I can't see us finishing in the top 6/7 this season.

think we will be lucky to get top 8, but next year were gonna be fucking ace, once juande gets a pre season with the team and brings in 1 or 2 newbies then we will be challenging top 4*

* disclaimer, maybe a bit ahead of myslef but hey were spurs, we dream

Not getting ahead of yourself. I think we will win the title next year.

We win the cup, go on a winning streak and all other results for teams above us are either draws or loses depending on the favourability of each and I reckon we can get 4th :)

Here's the power of prayer, positive thinking and a little of that ol' black magic

If West Ham lose their game in hand, then a crack at the Top 10 is possible. I think we have to break through that ceiling and then crack on from there - from ninth place on it is very tight, but it is important to get within striking distance first.
To be honest though, one slip and we could get pulled in with Boro, Newcastle and the rest. Not worried about relegation threat or anything like that, but it is as tight behind us as it is in front and the draw at Everton, while a great result, hasn't helped.
That said, I am optimistic about the rest of the season because, overall, there's no real pressure or expectations yet everyone will want to ensure that Ramos has them in his plans for next season, when we win the league!!! I reckon we will beat Liverpool on the last day, so they finish fifth, as well as sneaking a win versus Chelsea.

We'll overtake West Ham for sure, and I think we might still finish 8th or 9th. That's as high as we can realistically look for.
