Shame though that Martinez has now gone from Wigan
Roberto Mancini - good manager but probably would have to spend a bomb to get him out of his contract.
What contract? Sacked from City?!
Commonly most clubs have a clause in their contract which means they can't be hired by a league rival for so many months/years after being sacked or have to forego compensation. AVB had it, Adkins had it, Ancelotti had it.
Right. We're not going to get any international managers since the world cup's just around the corner, so that rules out Loew, Capello etc. And we're not going to be taking the likes of Hiddink.
List of names for you to chew over:
Michael Laudrup - Nice guy and clearly a talented manager but he's spent a year at his last three jobs. Plus if Levy though Harry was difficult to work with, wait until he gets a load of this guy's agent. Probably still #1 choice though.
Roberto Mancini - good manager but probably would have to spend a bomb to get him out of his contract.
Paul Lambert - far too inexperienced. No thanks.
Jurgen - fan favourite but only managed one club.
Christ that's a pitiful pool.
Whilst I don't want AVB to go, there is one person that'll be available that who'd certainly be an interesting prospect - Bielsa. It'd either be amazing or end in tears.
Would be pretty ruthless of Andre.
First season we'd battle for the title and look unstoppable.
Then the season after he'd shoot Dempsey, annex Wales and we'd finish 21st.
Sorry what? Hes in talks with them? More of them? So this@LaurensJulien is a French journo, is this a Marca/Real type fit up job, or is he seriously negotiating a move away from us?
