Very happy to see NDombele play. His dribbles were not there but his inciseful passing was and it started to change the game. He was getting passes flowing forward unril JM took Sissoko off and ND had to not venture so much.
NDombele has the class and ball control that we lack.

You can quibble over figures to the cows come home, but 2 teenagers and lo celso and ndombele is not a total rebuild, and looking at the total tripe we're currently watching no one can dispute poch was right.

Whole point is that money was wasted could have been spent better and more wisely for the rebuild ! We spent 40 mill on Clarke and sessegnon who never plays lol awful decision making

As some others have said it's easy to blame Mourinho but he has inherited a poor, poor side. This side was poor under Poch but since we loved him so much we kinda let it go. The Champions League run (how we made it to the final, though brilliant, is beyond me) glossed over it.

If the side was not so poor Poch would still be there now. He asked to be backed and Levy will not take a punt and this is where we are. Poch could see this team had run its course. He publicly said it twice and still nothing happened.

Can we blame Mourinho for his team instructions when our team can't even do basic passing?

This team is spent and no manager is going to turn that around unless he can make some better signings.

This needs to be stickied. We have short memories.

That said, Mourinho's selection and tactics have been too focussed on defence with no real attacking plan.

I think one thing wrong with him is not his attitude the guy isn’t good but he is intense and and dedicated. What made you say that?

His attitude in general is awful. This ranges from his homophobic comments to his breaking of the rules during lockdown on a number of occasions. On the pitch he will often lose concentration or cannot be bothered to run back. I’m not convinced about his dedication to Spurs since he has talked about wanting to leave on a number of occasions. Until we get rid of the players like him we will never achieve anything .

I think this is all absolutely fair but my concern is that whilst the squad is largely spent and needs refreshing we don't have the means the do it. We could go out and get a bunch of free transfers but at the absolute most I could see us getting rid of maybe 4 or 5 and bringing in maybe 3 or 4 and are they really going to be of the required quality when Chelsea can go and get Ziyech and Werner.

The other concern is that whilst Mourinho has inherited a poor squad, it's becoming more and more apparent that he's probably not the right man to take us forward. I really wanted to believe he could come here and win us some trophies, like he's done elsewhere, but even with endless cash at Utd it ended up like it already has here.

Levy took what he thought was the best option but in truth it was short sighted and lacking in bravery imo. The brave thing to do would be to find another young, progressive coach that could motivate these players with new ideas. Mourinho's only hope was squad turnover and he simply won't be able to do that now.

The players need to take responsibility but ultimately they do what they are instructed to do or they won't play. This is probably why Ndombele isn't getting a look-in. Mourinho doesn't appear to have any real plan other than try to not concede and maybe snag a 1-0 win. It might change next season but right now things look seriously bleak.

He said coming to Spurs was an easy decision because everything he needed was already in place inc the squad . What he said then was completely incorrect .

If he wasn't just bullshitting to get the job it shows a massive flaw in his ability to analyse teams.
