One of those nights I'm afraid. Thought we were OK second half. Cold wet horrible night in Burnley and get undone by a set piece. Let's not go overboard.
It's more apparent that we have more of those nights lately, I mean our last two home games against Southampton & Wolves, & the Chelsea game before that show that those games are more the norm now.

What’s your basis for any optimism about the Leeds game? They’ll be desperate for points and our recent form - in which the City game is a clear outlier - shows that this group is unbalanced and ineffective. Tonight’s result is completely unacceptable even if taken in isolation. On the back of the last 4 games it’s even more so. This group lacks both the talent and the mentality to achieve anything. If Leeds - who are a depleted mess - just want it more than us on Saturday they’ll beat us.
Leeds are more open at the back than a two bob whore. Son and Kane will have a field day.

We’ve got too many shit players. Our wingbacks are absolute dog poop in a system that relies on them. Major upgrades required in the summer or Conte and Kane will be off and who would blame them.

Looing at tonight I don't care how bad our squad is when we are obviously man for man better than the other team.

Obviously & the fact that we lost to them, shows how awful our squad is, which is my point.

You don’t need this result alone to tell you that.

piss poor.... awful 1st half set the tone.... we are just an awful team with the football.... burnley thoroughly deserved it.
Really? We had some great positions missed a number of chances, hit the bar and I thought we had a stone wall penalty not given (surprise). They had a set piece and one great chance. If any team deserved it we probably shaded that statement

We were the better team 2nd half until they sucker punched us. If Romero didn't let Mee get over him we come away with a respectable point. Kane went awol the last 20 mins.

The over reaction is pathetic, as usual.

3 defeats to bottom half sides in a short space of time is a very good reason to panic. Something is clearly not working.

FFS! As soon as teams stop the counter, we look so bang average. But tbh who didn't expect this tonight after City, so Tottenham.

Decent second half apart from the final ball. Kulu had 5 chances to put in a decent ball and fluffed it every time, though I suspect he won't get anywhere as much criticism as Emerson. Romero also giving up another mistake. Add that to his City penalty and poor performances against Southampton and Wolves and we have to pump the brakes a little on calling him world class. He does a lot of great things, but undoes them far too often. I'm sure he'll improve but right now, it's still Dier who is Mr. Reliable.

Romero is nowhere near world class atm, big mistakes every game mixed in with a lots of quality

We lost that because of bad defending/planning at set pieces and ill discipline.

We kept leaving the man at the back post free. Burnley had two freekicks prior to the goal where that man got a head on it, a warning to us, did we do anything about it? Of course not. Then the goal Romero half tried to mark him and got in a mess trying to charge across plus get the flight of the ball. After the goal they then had another chance in exactly the same way they should have scored from, where the far side unmarked man gets a free header.

Appalling organisation, especially not to change it. But it's also braindead to give away several cheap free kicks in prime crossing positions second half. You know Burnley want set pieces, we obliged.

As for what we do with the ball, we have the same problems every week that aren't getting rectified this season. Lack of wheels and quality in the wide areas, and lack of players who can operate comfortably between the lines in tight spaces and make killer actions. Any team that restricts space and is tough to break down, we're going to struggle at the moment because we simply don't have the weapons to break them down.

You can see why we lost. The Burnley players look like tough nuts coming off the pitch.
Compare that to the fragile nature of Sess, Winks, Royal etc
We’re fine on a dry, placid day….but go up north on a wet and windy one…and some of the boys haven’t got the grit.
What a load of shit. It had nothing to do with fight ffs.

Bad luck and a lack of quality when it mattered maybe. Perhaps giving away a few silly fouls on the edge of the area.

People are losing it because of the Saints and Wolves games. Guarantee if we'd won those two people would be saying it was a bad day at the office and we were hard done by, which it was and which we were.

Forget the City win, that's 4 losses in 5 in the Prem. Piss poor.

Arsenal win tomorrow and there's real daylight between us and top 4.

Forget top 4, we're not even in the race for it. Since the turn of the year we must be the worst team in the league, or very close to it.

A lot of overreactions in here. It’s as if some of you have never seen an away game against Burnley before.

Just one of those nights I’m afraid. If someone had offered me three points from City and Burnley away on Friday morning I’d have snatched your hand off.

We will batter Leeds on the weekend.
We look the same every game at the moment, lacklustre, sloppy and bereft of ideas. It’s not just a one off. I hope you are right about Leeds, they are shipping goals for fun at the moment. So we will probably beat them.

Think we all saw this coming, happens too often, get a great result against a top team then lose a game we should really be winning…

Leeds playing absolutely dreadful & conceding for fun. Dr Tottenham in town next

Seriously though terrible result but kind've expected it.

Our form is pretty worrying, losing way to many.
We lose home and away it's called consistency

Incredibly poor, we need significant changes to the squad. Far too many players who are just sub-standard and not anywhere near top 4 quality!

Davies, Sessegnon, Emerson, PEH, Winks, Lucas all are just not good enough and should be upgraded immediately.
