At the expense of Verts?

He's been labeled "a disgrace"

Hung out as a cheat and gets no public backing from his manager.

Nothing to do with mind games, about sticking up for your players.

Any virtue in football is seen as disgrace by the Special Cheat.

AVB is right to ignore Mourinho. Nothing upsets Mourinho more than being ignored.

This was my take on it. Why give credence to his baseless accusations? Just keep silent and let the foolish man whiffle away about imagined slights.

Who in the right mind would want Torres, what has he done in the last three years?

What bullsh*t is this. AVB is just calling the decision how he saw it. It has nothing to do with buttering up the player.

Everyone will see the Torres scratch and know Vertonghen was right and Torres and Mourinho are lying shit bags

If only that were true.
Somehow, however, a high proportion of Chelsea fans didn't see anything like this. Some saw an Iberian display of machismo dominance, or a pat on the cheek, or Torres patting Verts's cheek and Verts manipulating the situation by raking his face across the totally non-hostile palm. Some even saw Verts throwing himself down for this incident in an attempt to get Torres sent off...a manouvre he was later to succeed with :eek::eek:

when I saw the collision between them, I thought Vertonghen was just putting his hand to his head cause the header he made with the ball caused him pain....you can look at the highlights n c that his hand is exactly where the ball impacted his head....
