Everton away always feels like a really tough fixture and although Spurs have won 3 on the bounce, Everton are due a win. It's hard to argue with Tottenham's away form, unbeaten since the opening day so I'm going to go with a hard fought 2-0 to Liverpool.

In our last ten away encounters we have won 3 - lost 3 - drew 4 - as one can see the results have generally been very close encounters with just a single goal separating us at the final whistle.

Given how up and down this season is, I think the importance of this fixture is being overstated a little. It's January and final positions do not get decided this month.

We are good enough to go up there and take the 3 points but Everton are also good enough to beat us. Should be a good game and I'd happily take a point.

I feel like we've caught them at a good time when they're beginning to lose faith in Martinez' tactics. A good start and we could beat them comfortably.

The fact that you are stuck in Liverpool should be enough to make you want to slit your throat...

I'd take a draw, but a win would be fantastic! Anything but a loss i can live with! COYS!

I hate playing Everton, their fans scream at every decision that goes against them and puts pressure on the ref, I wish our fans were as bad as they are in that respect.

Lukaku is going to be a huge handful, Toby and Jan have either got to talk to him before the match in their lingo, or get very tight to him. Defealou (sp) is another danger man we have to watch as he likes to pull the strings, we need Dier or Dembele (if fit) to marshall him well.

Their full backs can be a threat but then again so can ours, so not sure how that's going to work out. Stones v Kane should be fun, Stones isn't keen on players with good movement off the ball and he prefers that man on man marking rather than running at him, I think Kane will be more up for it than he is

Dembele isn't fit.

We could win 4 they couldn't, we could win 3 they couldn't, we could win 2 they probably won't, we could win 1-0 so could they and same goes for 2-1 so, if we can score 3 or 4 goals we win and if we score 2 we won't lose.
Trouble is I reckon it's going to be close so 1-0 or 2-1 either way, my money's on us but I wouldn't risk too much on it.

I imagine Lamela will start tomorrow so hope he has a good game. I'm his number one critic and I like to delude myself he secretrely reads my posts and to see where he needs to improve.

So, Erik, I'd like to see you being a bit more direct and decisive in this game. If the shot is there to take, then take it, even if it's on your right. Kane played you in against Watford in the 2nd half and you hesitated and the chance was gone.

If the space is there on the outside, then attack the space. Don't always cut inside every time as it gets predictable.

And keep an eye on Baines, we don't want him crossing any balls for Lukaku.

We really need to start quickly and expose their shaky defence. If we can get a couple of goals early then hopefully it will dent their confidence.

It's almost a cert that Carroll will start but I really don't think this is a game for him, Mason needs to return in front of Dier and Alli imo dropping back to make a 3 when needed.
