Have always said that we'll be bang in the mix for top four as I've always believed and had faith that we'd get stronger as the season wore on, as Pochettino's methods/ideas come closer to fruition.

If we manage to strengthen I think we have every chance.

For me Southampton and Liverpool will finish sixth and seventh and it will come down to us and the Goons. I actually think our game against the Goons next month could be hugely significant.

United just have too many match winners and I do think they'll finish third.

Arsenal have had so many injuries as well, and if that were to continue and we do add to the squad this January and beat them at WHL next month, yeah I think we could pip them,

City, Chlesea, United, Spurs, Arsenal, Southampton and Liverpool. That's the order I'd guess/hope for.

I got top 4 with my first season with spurs on footman.

Maaaay have edited Kane's starts slightly to make him the love child of Augero and Ibra....

We are in the mix, i'd have taken that preseason and certainly after some of our poorer results. Chelsea game showed we can beat anyone on our day so why not

I don't see Southampton finishing anywhere near the top four, I can't believe they are even an option in the poll to be fair.
If you put them as an option you may as well put West Ham as well.

Koeman is no mug, I think they will put up a good fight as long as the injuries aren't too severe.

I definitely don't think they'll finish top four. Sixth or seventh? Yeah.

I think we'll go ahead of them next week anyway as I think United will beat them at OT and I think we'll edge it at Palace.

Well, it's got interesting, but don't really think we've got the squad for it - if Kane gets injured, goes off the boil we'll have problems.

It's not impossible though....

I dont agree with this, they are just as bad as us at the moment and thats despite them playing 10 less games than us

Thats pretty much around 90 to 100km's of running per player this season

If they didn't have these names people would call them out on their poor performances

He's not a mug but a couple of weeks ago West Ham was in a CL spot. This is a marathon not a sprint, I don't pay too much attention to who is in the top 4 at the minute.

eh...that's what I'm saying though, even when they're playing poorly it only takes one or two moments of quality from one of their many stars and its enough. Like when they beat Southampton before xmas etc.

Finishing above Liverpool and Everton? That would be interesting I think Rawk would blow up the internet.

Southampton have conceded 15 goals in 20 games. 6 of these goals came in 4 games when Schneriderlin got injured - 4 consecutive game that Southampton lost.

Also, Southampton's goal difference is +19, better than United and we are +2. No comparison there. Given all this and fact that they are dominating in all their wins means they got to be taken seriously. Logically, you cannot leave them out.

Being a transition season with Mauricio starting in July I sincerely felt we would be doing well with a 6th-8th finish. However, now that his style of play has become accepted by the majority of the players and based on our win against the Russian mafia where we showed we can mix it with the big boys I now believe we could get a top 4 spot provided our bean counter allows Mauricio to bring in one or two of the players he would like.

Just to add, that look on Poch's face when we conceded that late 3rd goal against Chelsea. That absolute disgust and fury written all over his face, that's what fills me with optimism for the first time in ages. Winning isn't enough.

Well then you can't leave West ham out either they are only two points away from us. How about Swansea? They are on the same number of points as Liverpool.

Was pleased to see that too. My stomach turned over with the knowledge that Terry would get to walk off the pitch with his head held high knowing that he scored yet again at the Lane, and seeing our manager just as sickened by the event as I was pleasing to see. Glad he didn't just shrug that one off, as despite our performance offensively it was the second of two gifted goals to them.

Can we get 4th, its possible but a lot will depend on whether or not Poch gets the support he deserves in the January window. If he does we stand great chance. One of the things we have got going for us is that Wenger thinks he is infallible and he is in fact obdurate and may not listen to his critics and strengthen them in the right areas.
So as far as Im concerned its up to Levy to back his manager in this window, if he doesn't I fear we wont make 4th and that would be a pity.

I said at the start of the season that anywhere from 4th-7th was a possibility, given how close it has been over the last few years and that most of the teams looked of similar, inconsistent stature. I'd revise that now given Utd had a very sluggish start and Southampton have surprised everyone, in my opinion we could finish anywhere from 3rd-8th as things stand currently.

I think its very hard to predict though, and we should just sit back and see what happens. I expect Utd and Arsenal to put together their traditional end of season run's of form. Southampton I don't think will get top four, but I don't expect them to fall away that much either, they have a very good defensive record so far and if that doesn't change then they will be in contention. Liverpool have a lot of work to do and have to gel as a team, but if Sturridge comes back firing then he might be the catalyst they need and put a run of results together. Finally I think, as hilarious as it sounds, the OP probably should have mentioned West Ham  as they are only a couple of points behind us at this stage. They'll probably drop away eventually and I think most of them are very happy to finish top half, but at this point they are well placed and deserve a mention.

We just need to take it one game at a time and not focus on the league table. Improve on things we know we can do better, such as tightening things up defensively, keep working hard and play those that deserve to play, and see what happens.

I did an alternative league table but a top 4 version a while back, I might update it and upload but looking at it here is the key fixtures left for each team

Arsenal
Man City (A)
---Tottenham (A)
---Everton (H)
---Liverpool (H)
---Chelsea (H)
---Man Utd (A)

Liverpool
Everton (A)
Tottenham (H)
Southampton (A)
Man City (H)
---Man Utd (H)
Arsenal (A)
---Chelsea (A)

Man Utd
Southampton (H)
---Tottenham (H)
Liverpool (A)
---Man City (H)
Chelsea (A)
Everton (A)
---Arsenal (H)

Southampton
Man Utd (A)
---Liverpool (H)
---Chelsea (A)
---Everton(A)
---Tottenham (H)
---Man City (A)(last game of the season!)

Tottenham
Arsenal (H)
Liverpool (A)
---Man Utd (A)
---Southampton (A)
Man City (H)
---Everton (A) (last game of the season!)

Key
--- = other league fixtures in between the fixtures above

Arsenal and Southampton have a great fixture list as they have an easier team in-between their games as for Liverpool we will find out by the end of the our match we will know if they are still in the race or dropped out imo

Here we go again. The minute we string a few results together :D

It's nice to see some optimism but why do it to yourself? It'll all end with you hugging yourself, rocking back and forth on your sofa staring glassy eyed at a bottle of hard liquor and a handful of strong sedatives scattered across the table.

I'm sticking with pre-season expectations of 6th to 7th. Anything else is a bonus.

Come off it AnC

After the Chelsea performance I'm expecting to finish at least runners up. Anything else will be a serious disappointment and we’ll have to take a long hard look at MP
