Chelsea, City, Spurs, United in that order.
Why is it not an option in the poll? Heads must roll for this!

Well then you can't leave West ham out either they are only two points away from us. How about Swansea? They are on the same number of points as Liverpool.

Well fact is West Ham & Swansea are going to key players to AFCON. Sothampton are going to miss Mane -who isnt irreplaceable as compared to a Schneiderlin.

Also, not everyone who has a good start in season can't be taken seriously. Both Swansea & West Ham didn't come through tough December fixtures as well as they would have liked. On other hand, Southampton were brilliant. Their resilience in fixture congestion suggest that they have the squad to play consistently without compromising quality.

West Ham were 3rd start of Dec & in 6 games have dropped to 7th. Do you want to take them seriously ?

Btw, tell me a negative till now in Southampton season ? If you can't , why cant they finish in top4, after all they have come out good in toughest part of season...

The problem with that performance on new years day is that it has given us hope, whereas before there was none.

With hope, comes anxiety, stress, worry, and ultimately crushing disappointment!!

Damn you Tottenham Hotspur and your teasing 5-3 victory. Have we not suffered enough?

Concerned about fatigue and injuries. Need to have a good jan and feb as, after this, we could have lots of games. I don't think we can get to the semi-final of either the FA cup/ EL AND challenge for top 4. We have a bug squad but, aside from the starting XI, and 3-4 others, our second string is not good enough to challenge in these comps.

I know we've strung together a run of good results, but we have to remember that a lot of games we have won has been in the last minute when we have not played that well. Only Chelsea and Everton have been the most convincing for me. It's way to early to start talking about finishing fourth as we are still a work in progress. Take away an in form Kane and we would not be where we are in the league. Lets just wait and see. I've been a spurs fan for a very long time like a lot of people here. It's good to be optimistic, but don't get carried away is all I am saying.

I would just love to see us win a trophy this year as it's a step in the right direction.

I wouldn't put this down just to Kane. But there are lot of things coming together with other players.

Dembele has stopped ball hogging & is passing faster in last few games

Chadli has been improving & found a new level against Chelsea. Opposition fans are now looking at him as a serious threat. Such a game could only give more confidence

Eriksen was a luxury player last season. Now he is a absolute work horse, in top 4 in highest number of miles covered in PL this season. More importantly, he is able to accomplish things tactically. I am very sure Pochettino & Eriksen worked on their game plan to neutralize Matic.

Even Paulinho is sharper in last few games - the superb flick to start the 5th goal was so good - reminded me of his best game for us against Stoke last season.

There is genuine footballing rivalry between Davies & Rose and it is bringing the best out of them.
We need more competition for Fazio, Vertonghen & Walker.

Kane is definitely the spark. He is inspiring others but I think they way team is gelling, if he were to miss few games, we may miss his goals but not the effort from team.

I agree with you but how many points has Lampard and aguero won for city? I don't think we are favourites for 4th but I don't think we are weaker than arsenal, Southampton or West ham either! We have as good a chance as any of them. I don't think people really understand how poor arsenal actually are or how weak man u are defensively. These are not 'good' teams at all.

We can do it.

This is a team that finished 8th last season, they have no previous pedigree, they lost to sheffield utd in the league cup quarter final and They still may lose one or two players this window.

To believe they are capable of finishing above Arsenal who have qualified 17 years in a row and have the finances to improve their squad with top class talent in this window or Man Utd who are not the team they were last season and also have the finances to add top class talent, after just 20 games is a huge, huge leap of faith. If we were into the home straight I would say fair enough but there is a long way to go yet.

The next month or so is massive for Liverpool, as they've a favourable run of fixtures. If they're still 4 or more points adrift come mid-Feb then they can be written off imo.

Arsenal will have another good run at some point where they just do enough to win games (similar to us lately tbf). Utd, ourselves and Southampton remain very difficult to predict, but we're the only one of those three who may struggle with fixture congestion between Feb and April.

Incredible how fans perceptions and views change after a few positive results. Suddenly on the coat tails of 3rd place and the general fans view is positive.

Poch was being hung drawn and quartered just a few weeks ago and now we are getting excited about finishing 3rd.

My gut feel is that we will miss out on top 4. I think United will be there and I think arsenal will get there in the end.

In fairness I think the game changer for me has been the fact that having beaten Chelsea we've shown we actually CAN beat the big teams, not to mention the change in mentality with the amount of games we've won from losing positions. Having been taken to the cleaners by every big club last year, I wasn't sure if we were actually able to match them, but we've now drawn with Arsenal and United and beaten Chelsea, given me a brighter outlook!

Still can't see us getting 4th. Some very positive signs of improvement recently, culminating in a great win against Chelsea, but we've been on the back foot for most of our games and our back four still looks very vulnerable.

I think our only chance would be if we can sign a decent midfielder who can dictate play, but that seems highly unlikely.

If we beat Crystal Palace, and United beat Southampton, we will be 4th in the table.

Liverpool have no easier fixture list than us for the next 7 games (last game being 1st March), in fact I would say their's is slightly more difficult.

We play each other, we both play West Ham and Sunderland and we also play, Palace, West Brom, Arsenal and QPR, where as Liverpool play, Villa Everton, Southampton and Man City.
