It was a rumour that's been going around for some time

Its not the fact he repeated it its the way he did

Plus he clearly isn't just repeating it he's lying point blank as he always does using rumours that already exist to add some credibility to what he says and make them more viable

For example I could look at the transfer rumour forum and see there have been itk or paper report linking us to Lloris, I could then come to this forum and say MY SOURCE who is VERY CLOSE to the club has told me 100,000,000% that we have agreed a deal with Lloris but nothing is going to be announced until after the Euros because he still needs to sort his wage demands out and he wants to concentrate on doing his best in the tournament but everything is agreed in principal and I bet my bollocks it will happen.

I don't have a source but if I made it sound plausible enough people would believe it, especially as previous ITK has already planted the seed of belief that we are interested in and might sign the player.

I could even say my source has access to sensitive material that proves beyond a doubt the player has been to white hart lane (flight tickets or whatever shit Adie was saying) but I can't even show the mods because its that sensitive my source would lose his job (but then ignore the fact my talking about it alone would be exposing my source but whatever)

Adie isn't just repeating a rumour he was excited to hear, he is a WUM who gets thrills out of lying to the forum to see the reaction and he has done so in the same fashion with Fabiano, Benzema and Lukaku so anyone who has any memory of his previous ITK claims will be well aware of what he was doing here too.

Any idea on the fee? Would be a good signing imo.

Harry Redknapp has taken the bold step of publicly warning his employers, Tottenham Hotspur, that they risk creating dressing-room uncertainty if they do not offer him a new contract.

Shame he wasn't so "Bold" when Capello got sacked and our form upped and sent itself away on holiday for 3 months. He really is The Walking Contradiction

EDIT: I should have said Capello RESIGNED, not sacked

yeah its a real piss take to how he was acting on Feb, stuff like this that makes me hate him at times. If he kept his mouth shut, and was more humble and honest, I would like him to be the manager until he retires
