Kaboul was incredible for them until Mason upped the tempo from deep. The way he bundled past Lamela and slid the ball to Rodwell reminded me of his cross against City when Crouch took us to the CL.

On his day, Kaboul is a fantastic defender, but he just hasn't got the legs or energy to build up consistent form and play anything near his best for more than 2 or 3 games a season. He was inspiring when we went away to Arsenal last year and drew 1-1, but then just seemed to just fizzle out and create mistakes out of nothing soon after that.

I feel sorry for him, because he should of been a cracking defender, and he can play good games, but sadly he just doesn't have the longevity to keep doing what he can and should be able to do .

Kaboul was always a top defender on his day. He has all the required attributes. The problem is that he is prone to lapses of concentration.

Yesterday he was playing as if he had a point to prove. It helps that he must know Kanes game inside out.
