We had three players go towards Bernardo, he lays it to De Bruyne who has no-one bear him. Pings ball into the box and it’s 1-0.
How is De Bruyne left completely free???
Because three players go towards Bernardo

I’ll take Winks off, place sissoko in the middle, and either get Moura or Lo Celso on (we’re not likely going to win this game if it goes on the same way in the second half, so I see no harm in seeing whether using GLC will help change the game.
They're an absolute juggernaut, it was always extremely unrealistic that we'd be able to hang with them in the league. Liverpool were able to play their strongest XI in nearly every single league match that season, had a huge number of points handed to them by the opposition (Pickford with the most shocking OG in the history of football, our OG in second half stoppage time at Anfield, the Palace keeper with an absolute disasterclass, etc.). City also coped with De Bruyne being injured constantly last season, and still outlasted them.Probably because we want to win something, and if Liverpool can challenge city then theoretically so should we be able to.
They certainly do, intensity for at least 70 minutes.
Our players usually just jog about lightly, stand around and point
Actually, it's not. Nothing surprises me in here from so-called 'supporters'Fucking unbelievable the amount of shit written in this thread.
City are class but if you dont play your best team and leave your full backs with no protection you arent half making life harder than it needs to be. Sissoko is never a winger. We have no width so no options when we have the ball.We are playing city, an outrageously good team.
I am not sure playing GLC against this strong city is a good idea. He needs to be gradually introduced, for the long term benefit.I’ll take Winks off, place sissoko in the middle, and either get Moura or Lo Celso on (we’re not likely going to win this game if it goes on the same way in the second half, so I see no harm in seeing whether using GLC will help change the game.
Yes he could of got there he was holding a line not busting his arse getting to the line to stop the cross.I can't believe ppl are blaming him for not getting out to the channel. Do you honestly think he could have got there on that second goal?
Secondly he will have been told to stay central and close to Toby.
The fault lies with the players not running with De Bruyne
He's being bullied kinda. He's not match fit by EPL standards, and it's showing. Why take Ndombele off?
Not sure why someone has rated this as spam - could not agree more with this post. Will absolutely take that at half-time. We're set up to be cautious and rightly so against this team with their motivation. Being cautious hasn't really worked as City are just so good with De Bruyne, Sterling and B Silva who are football magicians.
Once again the SC Match Thread delivers. Just what kind of delusion do you have to have as a football fan to think we were going to come here, dominate and pepper the City goal first half.
Remember - this City side is one of the best ever assembled. But, more than that, they have the added motivation of playing the side THAT DUMPED THEM OUT OF THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE.
The Chicken Little's that infest this thread with their despair and anger and useless spitting rage seem utterly incapable of the most basic forms of "support". Every mistake means a player is shit; every goal of their a defensive disaster. A formation and coaching travesty. No apparent understanding that Kevin De Bruyne is a magician at delivering assists. And has been for years.
SMH
Anyway - if we can Ndombele on the ball a bit more second half and bring Moura on with the game not gone we have a chance. And I'll take that.
How is any of this Kane's fault! We can't get the ball and we refuse to his it forward.
