I don't think that's the case,
I'm sure if he is appointed people will get behind him and ultimately performances on the pitch may change views.
Agree, although I suspect there’ll be frustration that we aren’t immediately competing with City, or bought 15 new players etc

Love Arry. He wants to see us play good football again.

Harry Redknapp and Tim Cahill advocating for Big Ange but all the knowitalls on here writing him off having probably never actually watched any of the teams he’s coached play 😂 🤦‍♂️ sums it up.

Exactly. And luckily the board will be seeking the views of people in the game rather than forum and twitter experts

Watched some of the highlights of the two Old Firm meetings in the Scottish Cups this year, the League Cup final and the Cup semi. The quality of some of the play, particularly the finishing, is terrible. It's quite incredible the difference in playing style the PL and the other top leagues has over the lesser leagues. Will require a big adjustment from Ange, especially as we've heard he didn't sacrifice his style in the CL, hence the poor results. Definitely a big risk for us and our leaky defence, gonna have to make the right buys this summer to have any chance of success.

the poor results had perhaps little to do with tactics but perhaps more to do with lesser players though against Madrid at Celtic Park they hit the bar twice and missed couple of very decent chances before Madrid scored a couple of pearlers which is slightly more than we managed in two games games against Milan

It’s not the ange video that’s been posted but this analysis thread is interesting (but not that positive)

Ange feels a bit like Donna Cullen couldn't read Levy's handwriting when he wrote "Arne" down on a list of prospective managers....and now it's gone too far to admit it was a mistake! :cautious: :shifty:

It is the Ange Video, as this is the 4th time this article has been posted today 🤣🤦🏼‍♂️
Oh Jesus you’re not serious are you?

After ignoring that bloody video yesterday I’ve been out all day and read that first rather than trawl through this godforsaken thread.

Honestly I’m done with this manager hunt.

I’d say it’s pretty positive — this is the issue most teams have that play like this when they don’t have the right players in certain positions.

And it mentions that he’s always identified issues in his coaching and tactics where needed so I’m sure he’ll just stick Emerson where he needs to be and it’ll work just fine (y)

Well yes that’s the positive takeaway I was left clutching after (belatedly) reading this.

It’s sad and quite telling that from reading this thread the last few days, if we did hire him a large of number of fans would be quietly hoping for him to fail, literally to the detriment of the club.

I agree with you there and it’s really a sad thing, however I think most of those fan would not be thinking of the “detriment” of the club. I think it’s more like another nail in Levy’s coffin.

Harry Redknapp who never actually had a hands on approach to coaching at Spurs, his assistants took the sessions and Tim Cahill who’s most impressive manager he’s played for in his career is David Moyes. Again it’s really not anything to be hugely impressed by, if it sums up anything it’s how easily impressed a lot of the people pushing for Ange are
Tim Cahill played under Guus Hiddink and he did OK didn't he.
I mean, as an ex Chelsea interim manager twice, he'd be perfectly qualified to manage us.😊

I don’t call them fans then…sorry hoping someone fails at the club you support is completely the opposite of what support is???

No one hopes he would fail. People just fear he would because of the gulf in class between where he’s performing now and here, that’s all it is
