That's my take on it too.
If we get Pochettino, his 433(ish) system makes this very viable. You could even play Sandro & Capoue when needed, with Paulinho/Holtby/Dembele further forward, and Eriksen moved into the 'Lallana' role in the front 3.

Maybe if Poch comes we could have Lallana playing in the Lallana role.

People forget what Dembele can actually do. About the only central midfielder we have who can glue the ball to his feet and skin players. Be fine with a proper manager in charge.

They aren't necessarily forgetting, maybe have legitimate concerns over his hip problems that look unlikely to be addressed anytime soon.

I am actually really excited next year about our midfield. After years transition and settling in we have a fantastic central midfield, with some creativity basking the wings/attack mids.

I don't agree with most and I don't want to see our midfield consisting of only these players again next season. IMO the balance is wrong.

We either have just defensive midfielders in which passing isn't their speciality, attacking midfielders who like to play behind the striker and thus far haven't done so that effectively, or central/box to box midfielders who can't pass.

I personally just don't think we're going to see the slick football we want to see with the selection we have.

ill grant you questionsmarks re his fitness but Sandro's attitude? Many a match from last season he looked like the only one trying. Couldnt disagree more.

My first choice 3 would be Dembele Eriksen and Bentaleb......sell the rest and start again...apart from Chadli who is better wide

I'm really looking forward to seeing capoue next season!! Sandro is my fav player (he's the man) but I'm not sure we can rely on him to be fit (and I know capoue wasn't fit either) but I think he could be our starter!!

Absolutely agreed. I'm not sure why so many people think a new manager is going to come in and somehow fix all of our problems with the pieces we already have. Our midfield play has been quite dire the last two years, and I think it's going to take more than tactical overhaul (but not necessarily player overhaul, just one addition needed centrally and one at LW).
