Poch was huge fan and Sess was huge talent, If Levy had splashed the cash when needed things might have been different for everyone with Sess bringing in at least something as it was stagnation that turned things eventually sour.

Sink or swim for me. I think he'll sink, but why not let Davies play another season with Sessegnon and Cirkin trying to establish themselves?

I don't think Sessegnon is much of a player, but I have seen worse players take that step. And he clearly got a lot of things going for him in terms of pace and how he hits the ball.

I would sell though if a decent offer came in. Value bet kind of thing.

Yeah from ITK with 300 followers. No chance hes going to 20th team of Championship

Not sure why place in the table is relevant. If we loan him out, what’s important is that it’s a place where he gets as many minutes as humanly possible at whatever position we think he is (presumably left back).

He’s not going to be loaned by an EPL team to be their starting LB.

If we are going to loan him then surely it would be to a lower premier club. We all know he can cut it at championship level , there is nothing to be gained all round by him joining Birmingham

Sessegnon been heavily involved in kit photo shoot. I know in past players have been involved in such shoots and then sold off to another club - but I dont think Sess is going anywhere this season. For same reason, cant see Ndombele in a Spurs shirt this season

I see him in the squad, getting more minutes in cups and game time of bench in PL to start with

You can’t see Ndombele in a spurs shirt because he wasn’t one of the 7 players involved in the kit photo shoot? What about Dier, Toby, Sanchez, Davies, Bergwijn, Tanganga...?

We’ve heard numerous times that Jose and his coaching team have been working really hard with Sessegnon since the lockdown... there’s no way they’re going to invest that much time and effort into him only to loan him out. I wouldn’t be surprised if he rotated with Davies next season... that’s if we don’t bring another left back in.

It's not his level.
Why not starting LB in Premier League team? Wouldn't be even surprised if Leipzig wants him.

Ndombele, Sess and Clarke have so far been a GIANT waste of money in terms of immediately coming in and improving a crumbling team.

Thank eff for Lo Celso :ROFLMAO:

Would be absolutely ridiculous to loan him now. We should be using the EL to help him bed into this team. If we want to win the EL, we’ll have to play 18 games, or half a season basically. We need him.

How much did we pay for Sessegnon? £25 million and Onomah?

Sessegnon’s time with Fulham in the Premier League was none too successful. Two goals in 35 appearances. I think Levy really got taken to the cleaners on this one. Or is it possible that the deal for Sessegnon was more than simply a player acquisition? It really was such an awful transaction by the normally penny-pinching Levy that I wonder if there was more to it.

At any rate, Spurs can’t afford to babysit a player like Sessegnon. He needs to get out and play. He’s not an effective winger that can effectively challenge for a spot up top with the current first team, nor does he inspire confidence in defense. My opinion of course.

Not sure how much the Club would get for him in a player sale so loan is the only sensible option that I can see.

As a full back though, for a relegated team. 15 goals in a Championship season when he played further forward. He was a sensation at a very young age. Gareth Bale at the same age as Sessegnon's first Premier League season was also his first with us - Bale played 8 scored twice.
When Bale was same age as Sessegnon's first season with us he played 16 times without scoring in the league.
The season Sessegnon has ahead of him now, Bale played 23 times in PL and scored 3 after he got his opportunity when Assou-Ekotto got injured.
2021/22 season for Sessegnon is the same when Bale took off and had his Inter breakthrough
