Lloris MOTM and Dembele the only outfield player who gets an OK. Eriksen was the worst of a bad bunch today.

Weather and officiating didn't help.

without Lloris' extraordinary saves, Spurs get nothing from today's match...

he's MotM

Well it was entertaining in a way...I think that some credit should be given to West Brom for stifling us, though, rather than just saying we were shit. It's a bit like how other teams have been saying this year, that we were lucky, in that they turned in their worst performance against us. I think WB pressed us into a poor performance.

west brom were very good, fair play to them, they showed a lot more fight and looked like they wanted a result more than our lads. we did well in that we didn't totally collapse. as well at the beginning of the year i would have expected these sort of performances, as we are a young side. But I'm still disappointed because of the opportunity we have this season.

a point and no injuries against that team today feels like a win.

lloris motm.

aldertonghen were completely bullied by rondon. yeah wind helped but the guy was a beast. i think he flattened dembele shoulder to shoulder which you dont see, well, ever.

eriksen was really poor, visibly shat himself at every 50-50. so scared of their defence he had to drop deep and then did nothing.

hopefully poch learns as more often we are the stronger team but in this instance we werent and need to switch it up for some clever play

Poor game all round. I won't pick out individuals for criticism because most of them were poor. Lamela grew into the game but was subbed for some reason, and Son was a poorer performer than him when he came on.

We have Lloris to thank that we didn't lose today. Need a big performance against Newcastle.

Ironic that we scored a long ball goal against W.Brom. Out of sorts today. Too long a rest couldn't get started.
Point away from home, poor conditions, but a goal up it's two points lost.Plenty of shooting chances not taken.

Lloris...............8..........My MOM for saves that turned nil point into un point.
Walker..............6..........OK except for the goal. Take a chance boy, cross the ball more quickly.
Toby.................6.........Unsettled by the wind and Rondon who played very well.
Verts.................6..........Unsettled by the wind and Rondon and Toby being unsettled.
Rose.................7..........Got down the wing well second half. +1 for the saving tackle
Dier..................5.......... Entitled to a poor performance once in a while. This was it.
Dembele..........5..........The old Dembele with added fouls. Off the pace today.
Eriksen.............6-..........When he's good he's very very good . But not today.
Alli...................7...........Plenty of energy, good run for the goal.Nothing quite worked
Lamela............6+..........Usual energy but like Deli nothing happened for him.
Kane................6...........Lost in a forest of defenders. Still might have scored.

Son..................5+......... Involved in some good passages of play. Early promise dwindling .
Clinton.............5............Yet to impress.

I don't know what Dembele most of you lot were watching today, I thought he did very well.

Walker was my MotM. I know he was one of the people at fault for their goal, but he came back from it brilliantly. Made some crucial tackles, and even produced a bit of Brazilian trickery in the first half.

Dembele was good at times, as was Lamela. Rose had his moments too. As for Lloris, I thought he was having a poor game by his standards until his instinctive wonder save. His kicking was awful at times (and not just because of the wind).

I thought Poch said in the pre game press conference that Bentaleb was just about back? If so when he is good to go i'd start him in front of Dier for a few games to give the kid a rest. Chadli also close to returning as well so at least it will give Poch a couple of more options.

Dembele for me, for surviving that kung-fu tackle in the second half.

Stodgy team, difficult conditions, Walker and Lloris were the pick of the bunch. Eriksen had a bad day at the office and Lamela seemed to spend the first half trying to hack into ISIS' website - as he did seem rather anonymous. Same thing we've seen all to often before sadly, against a really good team, he has an excellent defensive mindset that contributes to a good team performance, but against lesser teams, that kind of goes out the window and we get the endless cutting inside and going nowhere. Though having started he really should have finished the game, as the best of Lamela tends to come in the last 20 minutes when there's more time and space. As I said in the pre-match thread, Son should have started because he's more likely to come up with a goal, and he doesn't seem a great impact sub, like Lamela can be.

Chadli really can't come back soon enough, the delivery they had for their goal is something we've sorely been missing - have we even scored a headed goal from open play yet this season?

Dier and Vertonghen looked like ghosts of their former selves, Verts especially.
Jesus, you have one bad game...

Anyway, my ratings.

Lloris - 7.5

Walker - 7
Alderweireld - 6
Vertonghen - 6
Rose - 7

Dier - 5
Dembele - 6

Lamela - 5
Alli - 7
Eriksen - 6

Kane - 5.5

Thought a few players looked a bit tired out there, especially those like the CBs, Kane and Dier who have almost played every game and then flown out for internationals.

MOTM Lloris. Vertonghen had a horrible game -- Alderweireld is certainly the superior player in that partnership, and he's younger. Everyone else was just about OK. WBA were worth the point and could easily have had more. Turns out we're not as good as we thought we were.

Oh our old Spurs is back! CBs letting the ball bounce and getting into trouble. Midfield bottling out of challenges. Wingers running into blind alleys. Strikers watching the game pass by. Not sure if I can do any ratings. I thought Poch has gotten the bite in them. When teams play tough, we were suppose to meet them. We had so many yellows this season because of our new attitude. Top 4 under the radar?

When I look at fixtures for teams around us in the league and see they are playing WBA away I always think they could drop points there.

It isn't just us.
