Well this reminds me to cancel my membership for next season. I really hope the rumours about tim being given the boot shortly after the villa game are true to help stop the discontent in the squad before the club self destructs.

He can fuck off for all I care, unprofessional. A move back to Brazil will suit him well, about his level now.

Would absolutely hate to lose Sandro but overall (and with both on form) I actually think Capoue is at least as good, if not better.

While players will always be privy to information about the club, we can hold on to hope that someone went to Sandro, expressed that Sherwood would be leaving in an attempt to change his outlook in regards to his future. It's not a surprise that Sandro has no respect for Sherwood as a man, let alone a manager, when he publicly talked shit about him.

I think this could be a bit of a ploy by Sandro and his agent to force Levy's hand. Sandro knows he is a fan favourite and has never previously indicated any desire to leave (especially a return to Brazil, which I can only see as a backwards move). If he threatens to kick off as InterTim is freezing him out, he's hoping Levy will make sure that Sherwood gets his P45 pretty sharpish.

I posted this on another Sandro thread, sorry for reproducing it but I feel strongly about this player. We've got to keep him surely?

He is still the best defensive midfielder we have. Sherwood and Ferdinand have gone on record saying they don't like the holding midfielder role (which Sandro excels in) and seem to have tried to play him as a box to box player (which he has done ok with but not brilliant). If our manager changed tactics and played with a holding midfielder we would see the best of Sandro again. He is excellent in front of the back four, breaking up play, giving the ball to someone else and running himself into the ground when we're not in possession. Square peg. Square hole.

It strikes me that gaining plaudits for getting the best out of Adebayor through bringing him back in from the cold counts for nought if you then alienate one of our other outstanding players. We all know Sandro is the best holding midfield player around, why doesn't he play him in that role? If he wants to play a different type of midfield game, why not wait until we have the right squad for that type of game and in the meantime get the best out of the players we have. That's reasonable management isn't it? Then again, what do I know...

Sandro - nice bloke and all that, but hardly what you would call irreplaceable...plus he seems to have assumed Anderton's sick note status.

I can't believe some of our fans want to sell Sandro. I wonder if the same people accuse players that leave of a lack of loyalty.

Tottenham midfielder Sandro wants summer move to Serie A, claims agent

The combative midfielder spent most of last season on the bench under former boss Tim Sherwood, making just 17 outings in the Premier League.

Lack of football saw the 25-year-old's hopes of making Brazil's 2014 World Cup squad dashed.

And Sandro, who had been a regular in Spurs' midfield until this term, is keen to force a bid from interested Serie A sides Napoli and Roma.

His agent, Luiz Paulo Chignall, said: "The interest of Napoli and Roma? We have not had direct contacts and there have been no formal offers.

"We know that many clubs are following Sandro.

"He would like to play in Serie A, it is a very important championship but now we have to wait to know if he can leave Tottenham or not.

"I think that Tottenham want to keep him, but I cannot rule out that they decide to sell if there will be a good offer."

Sandro arrived at White Hart Lane in 2010 from Internacional, costing Spurs around £9m.

PLEASE NO

I fucking hate that agent. Just shut up, and see how our new manager works out. If he still doesn't play enough, then fair, whore your player around. But now? My fucking god, I hate agents. Especially when you can clearly see the love Sandro has for the club.

Hope he gets a lot of trust with the new manager, and is used in a 4-2-3-1 / 4-3-3 to allow Paulinho to roam forward a lot more than he could in Tims 4-4-2. We're stupid to sell before we see how this partnership is going.

There's absolutely nothing in this other than pure speculation. The agent will never rule anything out cos he doesnt care if Sandro stays at Spurs and would like the pay day.

There's one thing we can't dispute and that is that Sandro adores this club, his teammates and the fans.

If the club decide to cash in then so be it, as much as I love him as a player, I think Capoue is an excellent player and could easily take his place.

We also have to consider Sandro's injury record, he's incredibly prone and has had long term lay offs pretty much every season he's been here.

Awesome dude, will always love him, but he's not as integral to our success as some think, in my opinion, and I think we're all a bit blinded by how much we love him as a person as much as we do as a player.

In the last three seasons he's managed a total of 4000 minutes on the pitch—i.e., just over a season's worth. I honestly don't see that improving.

To be fair the agent has been asked about two italian clubs - probably by italian media, he said there are currently no offers but the italian league is great i.e. not alienating a potential move in the future. Then says it is down to Spurs if he is sold, which it is. There is no story here at all. Unless an offer in excess of £15 comes in Levy wouldn't even think about it and, given his limited playing time last season and recent history with injury i doubt there are many clubs that will invest heavily in him this summer.
