Just missing that final ball. Shaky start, survived the early pressure then started to defend like we always do. Also Werner has been great defensively too.

They talk about Haaland missing but why not mention Son? We miss him on the breaks just as much

Not been a terrible half for us, fortunate for the VAR decision and we have defended well as Keane has just re-stated. Johnson and Richy a bit sloppy and mis-timing runs. City won't come out 2nd half like they did for that manic first 20 minutes, a storm which we weathered. We could do with an early goal, which if it comes will almost certainly be a counter attack or a set piece.....
Not fortunate when it is factually offside..

He's been ok, but I just keep expecting more from him.
Good way to put it. It feels like his handbrake is on, just once I’d like to see him try to flick it round the defender with his back to goal to mix it up.

We need to give him time, and I’m not bashing him, but its strange to watch our winger be our least brave player taking the least risks

He seem to have asked for direct ones
He wants a mix.

Werner and Johnson and Son can stretch teams, then Kulu, Solomon and Gil(ideally upgraded to Nusa) can provide more guile so 3 of each for different types of games and situations but right now his options are limited to what is fit and available.

Kulu too slow on the ball and too head down to play the 10 role against top teams. Definitely need him on the wing for this game and Maddison on. Hopefully werner still has running left in him by the time madders comes on.

if we concede the same amount of touches in the half spaces above the defensive line as we did in the first half once De Bruyne is in, we're royally fucked.

Johnson has to be the quickest signing to scapegoat in history
Fans did get on Kulusevskis back after about 5 minutes but Brennan is definitely not far behind. My guess is most just see his price tag and feel he should be doing more or have progressed further in his development than what he's showing on the pitch.

How long and what injury? I love him but we should sell this summer as he never lasts longer than a few matches it’s like having a 1/4 of a player each season.
Muscle injury apparently. Not sure how long. Agree, can’t keep carrying him. Same as Sess.

Don't even think we have attempted a shot have we?
Don’t remember City having too many. Stats say 10 but I don’t remember them. City’s intensity was great for the first 20-25 minutes but they didn’t do a lot after the “technical issue”. I think we’ll see a much better performance in the 2nd half.

Also missing 2 or 3 starting midfielders in sarr, bissouma and maddison is stopping us from controlling the midfield as much. Although hojbjerg is having a good game
