Felt we really struggled to move through the press in the middle which set the tone for the game.

Deki only looked like he could get anything going once he was wide.

Bentancur showing he's still on a way back from injury, he's looked great so far but was off it this evening.

City pressed high, got a fair few decisions to break it up when we did get to the halfway line. It was definitely the plan too.

Don’t think that Werner can be blamed too much as he got in good positions several times and then wasn’t passed too.

Agreed. This game strangely leaves me quite enthusiastic regarding Werner, even if he wasn't found in the game near enough. Made so many great runs and unfortunately the one time he was actually played through it was in a situation where Walker had enough time to track back.

Also possibly played the best ball for us in an attacking sense on the night when he picked out Johnson I think it was. Pretty good vision and execution.

I’ve really enjoyed the game. Top level football all round. Man City are excellent.
Hojberg, despite the disastrous 1 minute, I think was our best player.
Maybe just a coincidence but always feel like are football is disjointed and lacks rhythm when he plays. Does some stuff well in isolation but think we missed Bisoumma in there and obviously Son up top.

If there's one complaint I have is that we missed several opportunities to put a few balls through to Werner who made a few runs. Dallied and not brave enough to take a chance with those passes, it you don't buy a ticket you don't win the lottery. One of them could have paid off in what was a tight game.

These loses hurt more because of how poor we have been in the FA Cup in recent years. Hopefully Ange gets the tools he needs to continue building, but there will always be a huge shadow over us until we win a trophy.

We were playing a team that won 72% of their games last season. They are quite good.

They're very very good. But for me the disappointment lies in the fact that there was a real "timidness" to our play tonight.

We've got a real decision to make in the summer about our forward line . Either we go big on a CF or big on a WF that is full of goals because at the moment they don't look good enough to carry us to titles.

I like ian wright tbf, but i find it ludicrous that he is comparing vicarios keeping to david seamen and schemichel, players from 3decades ago! I mean next thing we will hear is how brennan johnson isn't playing like deigo maradona.

No complaints from me. The goal was weak though. We needed somebody to muscle Dias away from Vicario. Either that or put someone on the near post.
