Wonder if bale will be able to play from the start.

If he can't then yes dele for lucas, if not then shift lucas wide and dele in the middle.

Same centre back pairing please. Give them a chance to build up a partnership

With that logic he may as well never play again. It's finally something for him to build on and a chance to actually gain some confidence. Let's see if he can now push on.
How many chances is he going to get?

Same team as today
Agreed. Much though depends on the players' ability to recover from Sunday.

I also wonder what consideration Jose will give to countering Fulham's massive height advantage. They're all big, big lads. Hence, really dangerous in set piece situations.

Also would not be surprised if he moves Tanguy to an AM role for this one, and brings in some fresher legs, like Winks for CM.

But, yeah... ideally, why not play with the same XI (injury and fitness permitting).

You thought he was near MOTM? Nothing I have said is incorrect. He has consistently shown he isn't good enough. I would sell in the summer personally
No use arguing your point, as you are cemented in your opinion

Believe me I'm not his biggest fan and I would be quick to drop him under a lot of circumstances, but not the game after he actually looked good and potentially more competent next to Alderweireld. Makes sense to drop him after a poor game, not after a good one.

So you would never give him a chance again? His time at the club is finished?

Pat Jennings when he joined from Watford and Alan Mullery from Fulham both had a long period where there was a lot of calls that they were not good enough of course no social media in them days and so how the dissenters let themselves be heard was at the games and both of these players showed character and no little skill and went on to be in my eyes legends of the club .
What I am trying to say is that sometimes the penny drops and Sanches could end up being a great player for the club he has the physique speed power and myself for one thinks he will come good .

Lloris
Aurier Sanchez Toby Reggie
Hojbjerg (if not injured) Ndombele
Bale Lucas Son
Kane

Start well then maybe swap a few on 60mins (Bale, Ndombele or Hojbjerg, Son).

I’m not a huge fan either but he definitely was near motm. Won the most headers and duels of anyone on the pitch. Think being part of a back four with Toby and our first choice full-backs helped him as well. Rodon also doesn’t seem to be in Jose’s thinking right now so nothing to suggest he’ll come back in. We’ve chopped and changed our defence all season. Would be daft to mix it up again after they finally have a good game.

Worth noting that Ledley works closely with our defenders.

Pure conjecture --- but maybe Ledley has spoken with Jose about Sanchez, and feels that he has the ability to be top notch, but is struggling with confidence, more than anything else. And if he is dropped for a long period of time, it'll make things worse. Some players need to play their way out of bad form. And others, sometimes need to sit down and have a think.

Ledley might also have a better sense of who will do a better job on the day. And he's giving this advice to Jose. Not that Jose is being told what to do, but like all leaders, he is considering input from specialists, as well as his own assessment of the player(s).

Rodon will certainly get his chance.

For what it's worth, I felt like there's a good reason Sanchez had a better game on Sunday... and it's not 'cos Burnley were crap. I think playing alongside Toby, he tends to do better. Whereas when he plays with Dier, he seems to be more error prone.

While I would love to keep the same team that played against Burnley, the truth is that rotation is key if we want to keep our top 4 chances alive while also keep progressing on the Europa, specially when it comes to players returning from injury. My squad against Fulham would be the following:

........................................ Lloris ..............................
Tanganga ..... Sanchez ......... Dier ..... Davies
.......... Ndombele ....................... Hojbjerg ........
........................................ Lamela .............................
Lucas ............................. Kane ......................... Son

Subs: Hart, Aurier, Toby, Reguilon, Sissoko, Bergwjin, Dele, Bale & Vinicius.

Would the same back line if Toby can play another game with just 3 days break. However Lookman worries me, when he came on in the reverse fixture, he caused us all sorts of problems and for their goal, skipped past Sanchez like he wasn't there.
