Same team to play in my opinion. Only consider Dele to come in for Moura but Lucas looked as if the confidence was starting to return to me! Whatever the tinkerman does we need to keep the same midfield and fullbacks until they're ready to drop because our back ups are not to the same standard.

Pat Jennings when he joined from Watford and Alan Mullery from Fulham both had a long period where there was a lot of calls that they were not good enough of course no social media in them days and so how the dissenters let themselves be heard was at the games and both of these players showed character and no little skill and went on to be in my eyes legends of the club .
What I am trying to say is that sometimes the penny drops and Sanches could end up being a great player for the club he has the physique speed power and myself for one thinks he will come good .
It has certainly happened to the one-time brain-fart specialist John Stones. Hopefully Davinson does likewise.

Would the same back line if Toby can play another game with just 3 days break. However Lookman worries me, when he came on in the reverse fixture, he caused us all sorts of problems and for their goal, skipped past Sanchez like he wasn't there.
Not worried about Lookman on Thursday, Fulham can worry about Kane, Bale, Son, Lucas/Dele! And if we had played the right players at The Lane (or even used that third sub we kept in hand for what?) we would have won easily despite Fulham scoring.

I don't disagree, going forward we don't have a problem, and the reverse fixture we had so many chances to put the game to bed, but didn't because of bad finishing or their keeper made a number of good saves. Hopefully with our added improvements in an attacking sense lately, we don't see a repeat of that, and regardless of Lookmans danger to or defence, which was all that I was pointing out to.

PEH Ndombele
Bale Moura Son
Kane
Should be no rotation needed with almost 4 full days of rest. Maybe Dele for Lucas but other than that I think its enough.

Bale maybe rotated on Sunday for Palace, same for Toby. Lamela can come in and Lucas can go RWF for that one I reckon. PEH could do with a break in all honesty but we just can't afford to be without him. Possibly could sit out EL next Thursday?

Bale must start. Let's go out all guns blazing, smash in 3 or 4 then we can take Bale off and allow Bergwijn some time to find some form once we're in a winning position as he desperately needs a goal from somewhere to kick start his season.

I hope so, I still have nightmares about Mou deciding to play Sissoko in that position during the reverse match.

Whilst I am an advocate of playing the same team that started against Burnley, I do think there is a consideration as to whether Bale can play Thursday and Sunday (against Palace), and if not in which game would he be more useful.

Jose didn't bring the best player on the pitch off after 60 minutes just for the sake of it bale will start again.

Spot on. It's actually all becoming rather clear now, based upon these words after Sundays game, at least. Getting him off before he starts feeling fatigued, thus (hopefully) maintaining fitness levels moving forward. Seems pretty bloody sensible to me.

He handled himself well, we are all doing that together, him, me and my staff and medical and sport science we’re all in it together,” Mourinho said..

We said to him don’t let the fatigue arrive so you have to go off before the fatigue comes and we did that so of course we are managing him.

We left him on the bench in the Europa League thinking that today he could be important and can’t play two matches in a short space of time. His experience helps a lot.”

The bit I have underlined is a consideration though ... does Jose think he needs Bale more for Palace on Sunday than he does for Fulham on Thursday? I think he will start one of them and be on the bench for the other. Not sure which one he starts though.

Starts against Fulham for me, no changes to the team.

Jose will be slaughtered if he doesn't start Bale again Thursday, it's easier to rotate him after starting him in two games.

Although I think if we bring him off around the same mark against Fulham that we did against Burnley he will start again against Palace.

The lolz on here where Bale starts the next two but is dropped in favour of Sissoko v Arsenal, with Ndombele moving into the front 4 and Lucas/ Lamela shifting to the right...

Perfect situation would be he plays an hour against both and then next week it is 75 mins in both games and then after that week he is fully match fit.

If our main players, which now seems to include Bale, are to be rested at all it should be against Palace on Sunday not Fulham tomorrow so that they are ready for the big game against Zagreb next week.
