I think if we put in a large enough bid, Ajax would be forced to accept.

But the player himself wants to stay with Ajax, we could have a bid accepted but it could be hard for us to convince him to come as we won't be able to offer him champion league football and big wages.

Let us have our moment of hope. It's fleeting and reality will kick in without you stealing our catalyst for this fire :cry:

Yep, only being in for Fabiano harks back to the bad old days of being distraught at missing out Michael Ricketts on the last day of the transfer window.

My post earlier wasnt meant to cause the fiasco it did with the 3rd line 4th line talk. I was merely evaluating my thoughts on the latest ITK from the goat - just to clear that up.

Ugh, listening to some of you makes Nietzsche seem uplifting. Have faith, if it's possibly for us to improve then I'm sure we will.

Oh, I'm sorry! Are we not allowed to be silly and show our preferences for players in this thread? I must be in the wrong place. Should I just fuck off or fucking fuck off?

Oh FFS, did you not read what Suarez said?

He wants to stay in Amsterdam.

Ajax have Group Stage money coming in and aren't in desperate need of dosh.

Jol will leave.

"Despite reports today we're still in for Suarez and the player is eager to come. Ajax will sell for the right place..."

Are we trying to collect all the controversial-handball-related players from the World Cup?

Keane -> Ajax
Suarez -> Spurs? Eek

I'd just been thinking the same thing about Ajax becoming Keane's new boyhood club.

Jol loves Keane and knows he and Mido are an excellent partnership. Like when he went to Scotland, Keane would rip up Holland and would straight away become the best player in the league. Keane could be big enough compensation for Jol and the Ajax fans.

I would love Suarez and Fabiano up front. That would be epic. So what if they're cup tied for the Champions League. It's the long term we need to think about here. This would really set us up as title contenders this season.

I can't help but imagine how great the Berbatov and Keane partnership would be in this team. If we could recreate that sort of partnership up front, we're serious contenders. It's a long shot, but Ajax already have 2 new strikers, so they're set for replacements.

You can do what you want mate, it just helps to get a bit of perspective.

The desperation becomes ever more frantic in here as the clock ticks.

It's a direct consequence of being force fed a surplus of players per window for many, many unproductive years.

Harry has said from day one that this window will be quiet unless a special player comes along that will improve our squad that achieved fourth place last season.

I think it's my fault... I might have been a bit overly sarcy with him earlier when we had a miscommunication, he's been on the rampage since. I think I might even be blocked and I didn't think DP was the blocking sort.

Dude, in fairness, right now we're a Champions League team, in the days of the Ricketts link we were lucky to finish top half.

No, I think its best for me if I actually walk away from this part of the site. There's too a high concentration of (you know) here. And I am reacting too much. I'm going to take Joey's advice. So I will do the right thing, so you don't have to ban me and return to Spurs Chat. Laterz

Thanks for the silly season, mods :hello:
