I don't understand the people who say it's unlikely we'd sign both Musacchio and Schneiderlin. It's not like they both play in the same position and one player is a back-up to the other. They are completely independent transfers.

Similarly, I don't understand the people who say the potential signing of Musacchio means Verts is off. Again, our defence was shite last season so why are people suddenly surprised that we are potentially signing a very good CB. Thankfully, it seems extremely probable that Verts is signing a new contract which is brilliant news. It will also fucking shut up the Barca fans as well who still seem convinced he is a target for them, despite Vertonghen himself talking about the new contract and his desire to stay.

Well JJ seems to think we're after both so that's good enough for me, plus it makes sense logically.

Hope we see both of them playing for Spurs next season.

Who are these strange people you speak of?

I've heard neither.
Jan is quite clearly staying, we might be able to sign Schneiderlin and/or Musacchio. That's where we're at isn't it?

I'm really sorry if you (and others) take this the wrong way, but stop worrying about strikers. Have a little faith in our new manager & his ability to get the best out of what we've got. Just look at how the likes of Townsend,Rose & Lennon have already improved under his stewardship.

Also, many on here (myself included) have said they'd not grumble if Dembele was sold. Well we should wait to see what Poch can do with Dembele before saying he could be the one to make way for Schneidrlin. Remember, Dembele was a striker at Alkmaar (under Van Gaal) before moving to Fulham.

Lamela is a recognised attacker/striker, as is Chadli..

Chadli, Dembele, Soldado, Kane, Adebayor, Townsend, Lamela & even Lennon. Are our attacking options really as concerning as you & others believe?

There's also the youngsters that have never played under a manager with such a reputation for improving players & getting the best out of them. Obika, Coulthirst & Coulibaly, all have proven they know where the back of the net is (for our reserve team), it's only whilst they've been on loan that they've stagnated. See what Poch can do with them, then start concerning ourselves with a lack of personnel or quality, no?

Remember, every somebody was a nobody first, then burst onto the scene, whether due to ability, or the bad luck of a player getting injured & opening an opportunity for the nobody to become a somebody.

I was o.k up until you mentioned Obika. He's done more rounds than my milkman and as for describing attacking options that include Townsend and Lennon your off your rocker. Wingers perhaps, but they won't and never have troubled the scoreboard that often.

I agree that everybody was a nobody once, and some still are.

Eh? you've lost me, it makes more sense if we were to sign Bony to sell Ade rather than Soldado as we'd end up with one striker when the ANC is on, I really don't see what you're struggling with, apart from too many Duffs maybe

Have Togo even qualified for the ACON? They're quite a small nation so qualification not guaranteed.

Schneiderlin and Musacchio in and I'm happy. Stick with the forwards we have and go for Rodriguez in January.

Always excited the thought of Chadli up top...don't know what's prevending it.

I don't think it makes sense to sign Bony to replace Ade at all. I think we need another striker in addition to the 3 we have. 3 strikers isn't really enough even when you're only playing 1 up front - all it takes is a couple of injuries and you've got no options.

I disagree, Townsend troubles the scoreboard every fucking time he shoots!

You cannot accommodate having 4 strikers for one slot. It is a waste of a squad place and money

And if we have 25 injuries we're playing 4 short with 7 kids and heading for relegation.

3 is fine in our system & the 2 experienced & expensive with 1 cheap & young blend should be enough. You just can't incorporate and keep happy 4 strikers with one up front.

gards on whether poch hates* vlad: he doesn't! Just might have better options which we are willing to pursue!?
gards on konoplank: tough deal due to ownership etc! Another damaio

he also mentioned remy as a possibly deadline day deal but it was more opinion i think

If we're after a wide striker type I think there's better options for it than Remy but more expensive.....

Important correction to the first part - someone asked why poch hated vlad. to that he responded "he doesn't..."

Far be it from me to nit-pick, especially on Dovakiin piece of ITK - but the first bit is misleading. Gards was saying in a tweet how Poch likes his defenders to be good on the ball etc - so someone said 'so why does Poch hate Vlad?!' - this led to Gards saying 'he doesn't! Just might have better options which we are willing to pursue!?'

Just a slight correction but thought it was worth saying
