If we can get Eriksen, Lamela and Chiriches I think that would wrap up a very productive summer transfer window.

But completing at least those 3 transfers as well as sending some younger players out on loan, selling some others and possibly getting another striker and/or a left back is a lot of work to do in a week.

No matter how close a lot of these incoming transfers are I think we need to start wrapping them up and getting those players signed as time is short.

Agreed - some will argue the Premiership is suited to him due to his strength, power etc however I see him being another Julio Baptista and doesn't have to much of a footballing brain. Can see the similarities between the 2 *bad first touch, try win ball back and barge through defenders, shoot from miles out and over* repeat 3 times a game.

Morning muff hunters,

A restless sleep at Waddle Towers last night, dreams of Roma, of signing everyone and no-one. I'm getting tired of waking up thinking "today is the day" only for it to be mañana mañana.

I'm going into today expecting nothing other than Arsenal to start signing quality (couldn't believe AW openly tapping up Mata last night) and us to drag everything out to next Monday....

Not my normal ebullient self today. Really need some positive ITK, a few airport photos a, "pending medical" announcement or two and Laura our fit Irish receptionist to come and give me a crafty nosh or similar.
