The Mirror reference an article in The Times, which is pay-walled. Anyone have access to the original Times article, and are there any quotes in there about an £11m bid?

If there is even a hint of truth to us bidding £11M I'd imagine Inter wouldn't even bother sending us an abuse loaded fax by way of rejection.

It would be strange offering 11m when they have previously rejected bids from us of around 16m

Jeez, guys. Over a week complaining that you don't want Defoe and Kane as your strikers, and when we put in a contingency of Saha, who we know can do a job, there are more complaints!

Wait until the end of the window, if our strike force is only Defoe and Saha, then complain.

Very true.

Although I would love to know just when the 'more releaxed' like yourself get worried.

I'll admit I'm starting to get a little anxious - however I understand that its the last 2-3 weeks in which the wheeling and dealing really kicks on.

Agreed. It's quite insulting actually. Hopefully it's not true.

The broadsheets are barely any more trustworthy than the tabloids when it comes to football stories.

Whilst it may be true that the press get wind of an offer being made, i find it highly unlikely they would even get a sniff of what the actual figures being offered were

I agree. Although its the kind of offer we'd go in with. Probably offering it at a quid a day, over the next 11 million days!

sorry have to disagree he cannot do a job for us (maybe other lower teams) , he proved that the end of last season, at best he would be 4th striker

An £11m bid just isn't true and the person from The Mirror who suggested this needs to be sacked for shoddy journalism. Ridiculous.
