Either the writer meant "Hands Down" or AVB's English is starting to enter into our everyday vernacular

If ever there is a match to assist our goal difference then this is it...

God, I hate it when people say this. Think about sorting our goal difference when we're two or more up, not before the game.

Still, job done again today. Just keep winning, lads.

Lennon was brilliant.

Sandro was just on a different planet.

I haven't read through any of this thread but if the above isn't the general consensus then you're all MAD!

He's here, he's there, he's every-fucking-where, Sandroooooo, Sandroooooo.

its fun times supporting Spurs at the moment. Really puts a big smile on my face for the rest of the week winning. Love it.

Can you believe 10 years ago we were a struggling PL team, now we're up there with the best. Love it. Come on!!!!!

Sandro was fantastic. Some of his interceptions were incredible. The best bits it when he is chasing back he always wins the ball clean. Superb player.

He really was a great find by our scouts. Truly awesome player, him and Dembele must be scary to play against.

gotta echo this. Sandro and Mousa were fab, whilst lennon was really good (how he should've been the last five years)...

when we get Kaboul back we're going to be a frightening team to play. Very happy tonight. :)

Sandro is absolutely fantastic. Most interceptions of any players in the league and he added a few more today. Parker may have to be patient with Sandro in this type of form. But what a great player to have ready to come in. Really pleased with the performance today and that we have players coming back from injury. Lennon's workrate was superb and it rubs off on the other players. It was clear from the reaction on the bench that it was something that the coaching team all appreciated esp Freund! Could see that Ade too wanted the ball as soon as he scored. Hopefully that goal will do wonders for his confidence.

This is only just the beginning for Sandro anarl. Maybe he developes going forward, maybe not. If he does we have the next Vieira and an equal at the least of Toure. If not, we still have one of the finest DMs in Europe.

I was also very pleased when we signed Dembele. Been shocked at how quickly he's become the heartbeat of our midfield though. Having 2 big burly sumbitches in the middle is only a positive as well.

I'll hold my hands up and say I had my doubts about Dembele due to his lack of end product, but f**k me he is a good player.

We need one player desperately...someone with a killer instinct...

For all the possession that we had today, the odd bounce of the ball could have brought them back to 2-2.

I saw plenty of invention, endevour and pace from this Spurs side, what we are missing i feel is an Augero type of player with that extra bit of guile and skill. Defoe hasn't got it by a long way and when you look at his endless chances today you can see why he's never been an automatic choice for England or up until this season Spurs.

I am not knocking the kid, it's just that he won't get the sort of chances or the amount of chances he did today for the rest of this season in any one game. His finishing was woeful, and it's games like today's where a potential top four side should have put away without the need for a deflected goal making the game safe.

All thats missing in our team especially at home games is that killer instinct in front of goal and also someone in midfield that can unlock the defence.

I think our midfield unlocked their defence on countless occasions, we just need someone to provide that final bit of magic in or around the penalty box.

In 2012 Spurs scored more goals than any other PL team from outside the box, so that does prove where we need a player with different skills than what we currently have.

The more I watch this team, over the past 5 matches since its style suddenly came into focus against Swansea, the more convinced I become that the strikers (and supporting goalscorers) are getting unjust stick. The problem is that they aren't getting enough clear-cut chances. We're blasting in shots from all angles - Defoe and Bale will do that anyway - but because we're now thought of as one of the league's tougher opponents, teams are defending in depth and in numbers and it's very difficult to set goalscoring players free without a van der Vaart or Moutinho character. The strikers are missing a lot of chances because they are having to take on difficult chances, especially in terms of shooting through traffic. Have a look at the alarming number of shots that we have had blocked this season.

When we add a creative player who can drop into the gap between midfield and defence and then provide an unplayable ball, the 20-30 shots we get in every match will start producing more than 1 to 3 goals.
