What else do you expect from Scousers??

The city of Liverpool is like a time capsule circa 1972, where they believe football was invented by Bill Shankly, shell suits look 'cool, hubcaps are a street currency, and the Beatles are so great its the reason why Beethoven took up piano lessons.

I pity the fools.

Mate, we've had two of the best seasons in recent memory, playing unbelievable football, scoring shitloads of goals, letting in few, supplying half the England starting 11, all with some very likeable young local lads in the team managed by a humble and likeable chap.

Trophies or no trophies, there's a hell of lot to be optimistic about, so I'm not sure your word of caution is really needed imo.

Ok.

Soooooo, getting relegated. Not able to compete even at a lower standard, and not getting promoted or likely to get promoted is all part of your cunning plan to dominate English football?

Yeah but their fans are very angry full of dismay and feeling a deep deep hurt.
They'll be fine

Lloris, Alder, Possibly Rose, that's it. They are a good defensive unit, but they aren't amazing. Our first choice midfield and attack is superior to theirs, that's why we made them look like a pub team for the majority of the two matches we played them this season. They haven't had any major injuries to many key playes at the same time. How many times has our front 6 and first choice defence played together this season, struggling to make double figures I would guess.
Let's say this is our strongest line-up:
Lloris - Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Dier - Wanyama, Dembele, Walker, Rose, Eriksen - Alli, Kane.

How many times have we started with that line-up this season? Twice, I think I read somewhere.

Heh thats the advantage we have with Klopp. Pochettino is a good manager, but you never know whether he will stay or go if Real or Barca come calling. With Klopp, he will not be tempted by Real, Barca or PSG
.

Well can't fault a statement backed by so many strong arguments can we. Guess we can only look on enviously as Klopp obviously must have pledged his life to the mighty LFC. Not getting any bigger than that (y)

What was it? I forget what he said.

Suarez has already enrolled his Daughter in Primary School in Liverpool and told the club and his friends so if he's planning on going to Madrid it certainly weren't in his thinking as recent as a week ago.

I do find it amusing how badly Spurs, Utd, Arsenal and Everton fans are falling over themselves trying to persuade themselves and anyone who will listen that Suarez will definitely will be a Madrid player come Sept. Pure desperation.

I don't for one minute think JWH will sell for anything less than a world record fee and now we made CL there are no active release clauses in his contract. Him kicking off won't matter a jot just like last season as he knows the consequences (which is why he won't play up). JWH won't sanction a sale either again because (unless Madrid decide to change their minds on Benzema) there is no-one to replace him and JWH is a stickler for that.

I honestly believe he'll stay now we have CL football as he has said several times in interviews he wants to experience.

Less than a month later he'd gone to Barca.

So he was half right....he didn't go to Madrid.

I also remember when they signed Balotelli and I said the arrogance of Rodgers made him think he could turn Balotelli into a world beater and toela completely went off on one at me....safe to say I was right.

I particularly enjoyed the bit where he insisted some Liverpool ITK was legit and that he knew him personally, only for the guy to reveal he was making it all up and Liverpool had warned him off because he'd correctly guessed one of their transfer targets.

Toela has been a bit quiet recently...

True to form really. Pops up with some patronising crap in Week 3 of the season on the one day Liverpool are temporarily above us, then crawls back under his rock when we inevitably sail past them.
