One of the reasons I don’t really rate Micah Richards as a pundit is because, as with lots of others, he doesn’t know enough about any other teams bar City.

Roy Keane just doubled down on his Reguilon criticism on Sky and said ‘you know he was on loan last season too’ to Richards. Richards replied ‘yes but he’s a good player’ instead of ‘yes and did you know he was part of the team that won the Europa league final against Inter’.

I’m sure Keane would’ve just responded with some shit like ‘It’s only the Europa’ but it would’ve been the correct response to the loan comment.

This is embarrassing listening to Souness and Keane slate Bale. You can’t compare him to Ronaldo re longevity because Ronaldo has had an injury free career and Bale has been out regularly through injuries or issues with Madrid. He said in his interview that he can’t sprint all match like he used to and he’s right. The panel seem to have taken that to mean he wants to fucking retire.

They sack Le Tissier and keep this ****. Ridiculous.

Awful punditry from those two fossils. Bale has worked hard to get fit enough to start three on the spin and has been a huge influence. All they want to do is dig him out, honestly the drop off from Coleman on comms to those is night and day.

This is painful viewing. Souness and Keane so critical of Bale for no reason. Why Sky have these guys as pundits is beyond me!

Coleman on commentary tonight was a breath of fresh air, no bias, just commentating on was actually going on in the game not the bias crap we usually have to put up with!

It's like a bad joke. An Englishman, a Scotsman and an Irishman in the studio and only one of them talking any sense. Keane and Sourness contradict themselves at every turn. Sourness chatting that "only Burnley, only Palace" stuff again. "Only Burnley" took points off Arsenal and Leicester, "Only Palace" got a 0-0 with United just the other day!

Keane saying Palace were pretty open which is palpably untrue. Did he watch the game where everyone on their team was behind the ball? We opened them up. They are full of baloney the pair of them.

I agree re Souness I genuinely don't know what he offers. Keane on the other hand is obvious. He's payed to say controversial things and start a minor squabble ever now and then so that they can make clickbait style videos out of it with titles like "Keane and Richards in ***HEATED*** debate about Spurs CL chances" and people watch it and subsequently share it around on social media and forums like this. It's absolutely textbook and not even the least bit subtly done

If people want Keane to go away they need to start ignoring him rather than falling into the very obvious trap that he's there to set.

Souness got himself stuck down a rabbit hole and couldn’t get himself out. Embarrassing stuff!

Roy Keane is turning into a parody of a shock-jock angry pundit. Micah Richards seems like a genuinely nice, fun guy but he’s no Gab Marcotti

Quite frankly it’s boring and dumb to use Ronaldo as a comparison for any other player in football bar Messi.

If Souness was any more perpetually negative about Spurs, I’d start suspecting he’s a regular poster on here

Just looked on RAWK for a view on Souness from Liverpool fans. They don’t really like him either. This after his comment about Lamela after the United match ;

“What's disappointing is you'd expect it from some Daily Mail-reading Brexit voter like Allardyce. Not so much from someone who has both played and managed abroad. That's Souness all over though. If he cut out this sort of shite, he'd actually be regarded as a very decent pundit.

Still, he's LFC family, just in the sense of the divorced uncle that usually embarrasses himself on Christmas Day after a few drinks.”
