Why does Modric get higher ratings via SC polls compared to the media/pundits?

How do you explain when they gave it to Malbs the previous time he played against Modric? They gave him the star man award, 8 out of 10 and he didn't score, didn't create an assists and isn't a vogue player.

I agree Modric has played well recently. By his standards. Not by the standards of usual Star players.

Well I can't explain it, I can't explain a lot of things. I'd suggest it was likely because Malbranque had a great game in that match, which doesn't surprise me because he is a very good player. He also catches the attention because he works incredibly hard and keeps going all game. There is a reason the fans love him and that he got such a good reception when he came on on Tuesday. You don't really get that from Modric, he doesn't tend to be an attention grabber unless you really watch what he is doing.

In the ratings i was rounding them to the nearest .5 (Apart from Pav who was smack in the middle with a .25 and didn't know if i should round up or down.

Well I watched the game and he had at least 4 in a 10 min interval after he got fouled, couple of them in were in a row and all looked terrible and the game still had 15 mins to go, on the guardian chalkboards form that foul on till the end of the game it says that he had only ONE bad pass. So if you want to know the truth watch the game and do the stats for yourself.
