Why does Modric get higher ratings via SC polls compared to the media/pundits?

vdv is amazing, been absolutely brilliant for spurs but no way was he an 8 against Sunderland. It was far from his best game for us. He and Modric are so different that I don't really see the point in comparing them directly. Love them together though. :grin:

Can anyone search via SC? If I search for even something obvious like Harry I get no results.

I wanted to see the ratings polls for Modric vs VDV for prem games in the past Month.

Since VDV just won Prem player of the month, it would be a good yardstick to see what the average ratings are for a prem of the month player.

aside from not deserving an 8. he scored your only goal and had a couple of headers just wide or saved while probably still being injured.

making 6.5 and one of the lowest scorers on sc a bit harsh imo.

Abusing? I don't think I abused you at all. I disagreed with your opinion.

VDV gets my praise regardless of his goals. The point you were trying to make was just simply not valid as comparing VDV & Modric is like comparing Ledley King and Huddlestone. Different players with different abilities.

I love the start VDV has had, he is passionate, skillful, classy, direct, subtle, has a deft touch, brings others into play, positionally astute and boy can he shoot, however Modric takes up a different, and just as important role within the team.

Modric is the heartbeat of the team, the guy who links up play, the guy who makes the whole thing tick. This is why he is generally recognised as one of, if not the most important player.

Gibbsy's nonsensical idolisation of Steed and dismissal of Modric is farcical at best.

...Luka Modric, our best player. The little midfield man, he and Huddlestone are our heart-beat. He's just coming back to sharpness and I can't help but love watching him. We need to keep this guy for ever. Class act and is exactly the type of player we need more of. I love ya, ya little lesbian!

Your comparisons and questions posed however are largely illogical.

You want to listen to actual conversations between spurs fans waxing lyrical about VDV. It happens just as much as it does about Modric. Both are important players, and both are essential.

We have had threads claiming Pav is the best thing since slice bread. King is past it and should be sold/released (a few seasons ago) so wouldn't take much notice of some of the things on here (Like Gibbs)

People just have different preferences in players. Both have been brilliant this season and im glad we have both.
