Tom Glover as 3rd choice keeper

Tom Glover is know doubt talented and he has put in some great performances this season but I just can't see how he is more likely to make our squad next year especially as he it seems like he is behind Voss at u18s and hasn't played any games at u21 level. Probably be at least a couple of years.

Didn't we all think that with Dier though? And yet he was forced into the 11 through injuries and (although a work in progress) has done himself proud.

I feel we're too cautious with the kids in the EPL - not just at Spurs.

Dier was older than CCV more experienced and is also taller, we need to see if CCV grows a bit more though the height isn't the be all and end all. Think Ball may still be ahead of CCV as is Veljkovic.

100% agree about the cautious bit though. Even I say things liek ease them in the EL, but we have seen Bentaleb and Mason jump straight into it. We really have talented players

Button should've been our third choice keeper for the past few seasons. For some reason he was never given his chance and is a more talented keeper than McGee.

Would have loved to have signed Button instead of Vorm and given him his chance with us, and kept the whole academy contingent going.

Too early for CCV, KWP and Hall

Did you mean Ball? As Hall has had around 2/3 years of Championship experiences

How would you accommodate Onomah in a 433.

-----Veljkovic----
Onomah---Bentaleb--- That is the line up we used to thrash Barca u19s a couple of years ago and if we replace Onomah with Carroll that would be the midfield 3 that helped us smash the u21 league.

or

Mason---Bentaleb--
------Onomah---- There are so many variations though and Onomah could sit in the deeper 2. However, with all the competition available he'd be better introduced as a no.10

While there are so many that could potentially get chances/come through next season. Pritchard is more or less guaranteed.

I hope though that Carroll and Veljkovic get their chances next season though. Fredericks an honorary back up. The younger ones will get their chances later

wow, had no idea onomah played in that game, he was only 15 then. must've been the youngest player on the field?

Here are the genuine candidates
Fredericks - done very well in the championship, we haven't exactly got a back up since Yedlin is still learning
CCV - too early for him however potential cameo in europa is a possibility. The issue with him is that he is very young(17)
Ball - too early for him imo as well
Veljkovic - He would be a great CB and DM candidate
Carroll - Almost deserves a shot, he has been player of the month for swansea despite not playing since they signed Cork. He has done well for the U21's as captain
Winks - championship loan imo
Onomah - Very young still, next season he should be in the squad imo, better passer than dembele and very good dribbler. One of the most talented players in England in his age group, if not the most talented player in his age group.
Alli - I think he will be out on loan for the first half of the season to a top championship club
Oduwa - better than league 2 already imo, should be going championship to a good club imo
Pritchard - will be in the squad
Coulthirst - gone back abit but seem to found his feet again, hopefully league 1/championship loan

The players that should be making an impact and given a chance are Fredericks, Carroll and Pritchard with Onomah being the dark horse to surprise everyone and break in to our squad.

Player who could surprise everyone and make a debut next season: Sterling or even edwards
Pritchard, Onomah, Veljkovic/Carter-Vickers
I don't think Veljkovic will be at the club, I have a feeling he will go on loan, hope Im wrong but I don't think he will get his chance next season with his shoulder injury

Ye not many people do know/realise and it really puts into perspective how talented he is and how highly rated he is. When we talk about Edwards playing for England u17s at 15 or Dasilva playing FAYC which is u18s at 15 last year, Onomah was playing NextGen u19s at 15 away to the best academy in the world and helping to dominate. Can't remember if he played that leg but I knelt that midfield contained Samper in the first leg. Winks also came on in that match as a 16yo.

Carroll is a year younger than Mason, so I wouldn't quite right him off for next year. He's not lighting it up at Swansea, but Mason was average at Swindon.

Pritchard and Alli are my two picks, with Carroll every chance of some game time unless we get a decent offer. Expect Onomah will see some healthy League Cup time too, and EL if we qualify.

hasn't CCV only played a handful of games for the U21's this season? Be very surprised if he was anywhere near the first team squad next year...

He's played quite a few when available. He may have featured in 2/3 league u18s games max. Otherwise he has been playing and sometimes captaining the u21s. The reason it may feel like he hasn't played much is because he was away for around a month playing in the u20 WC qualifiers. And missed some recent u21 games as they were clashing with FAYC matches. Played recently against Falcao. I think hhe could/should be in and around the squad (trainingwise). Think he could make some sub appearances early in EL and COC cup campaign.

He did but that was the first leg at WHL where we lost 2 nil. Was the first I had seen/heard of him and he didn't look overawed. Looking at the result away he should have prob started the first leg

this is the team that won 4-1 at the camp nou:

Spurs U19s: McGee, A McQueen, Barthram (Ogilvie, 74), Veljkovic, Ball, Stewart, McEvoy (Winks, 85), Bentaleb (Lesniak, 74), Coulthirst, Onomah (Dombaxe, 58), Pritchard (Michael-Percil, 85). Unused sub: Priestley.

onomah was 15 at the time, which i assume made him one of if not the youngest player on the field considering it was u19s.

Interesting he was given time off school lol, its shows how good he is that we was playing a 15 year old in a U19 match against an academy at the time was heralded as the best

Have you got the line up for the barcelona team, I cant find one

The game at the lane was good and there were two people I came away thinking were certified Ballers. Pritchard was one the other was Sergi Samper. He was class. Pritchard was the only one causing trouble for us that game and twisted their RB, Adama, inside out. Adama Traore also assisted Sandro for their first goal and I believe both of them have featured for Barca this season. Thought Pritchard was more outstanding than Samper who was more or a dictator. Both were classy. Bentaleb had a good game in midfield if I recall correctly but we faded second half and the classic clearance from the keeper undone our defence

Anyone got any more videos of Jack Roles? The goals against Palace were beautiful. My mates nephew plays for the u16's (not sure of his surname, greek although he was born over here). So he said he'd let me know which players are looking good.

I really do hope so.

I remember watching this video a couple of years ago (and, yeah, it's YT highlights I know) and thinking:

Cuts in from the flank effectively, times his runs intelligently, excellent close technique, quick - reminds me a bit of that Welsh bloke...I've been pitching him in the same way that I did Harry Kane ever since. I swear my natural calling is as a pro scout lol.

Also, by the looks of that vid, it would be nice to have alternative to the Great Dane on FKs.

On a related point - why can't Spurs stream our yoot matches FFS?

should be onomah, don't think people quite realise just how unique a skillset he has. hope he gets game time in the final few games this season and gets fast-tracked into the 1st team team picture next year. pritchard is an obvious one, fredericks and carroll are kind of in the same boat, although the hms rb is looking a little creakier than hms cm currently. think veljkovic will repeat 8th grade so to speak and i don't see ccv or kwp being in the senior equation for a while yet. oh yeah and alli, not sure what we'll do with him.
I have to admit I've seen jack all of Onomah. Are there are decent (and fairly representative) videos of him?
