If we are going to keep bumping this thread can we please correct the title to use the word "youth".

I've high enough blood pressure as it is.

Thanks

I suspect the fact you let something like that bother you may account for a sizable contribution to that high BP.

I have to admit I've seen jack all of Onomah. Are there are decent (and fairly representative) videos of him?

not really, there's this compilation .... well i say compilation, it's five short clips. you're going to have to use your imagination a bit.

I hope we try out a couple of defenders in pre-season whether it be CCV, KWP or Milos but they may not be ready yet. Fredericks could be ready it would depend on Yedlin's progress.

I think Pritchard will be the one that makes the step up in that CAM/LW position. I'd love to see Onomah given a go but think this season may just be a little too soon for him, and places could be limited seeing as Alli will probably join the first team in a more advanced role. I think he's our Paulinho replacement.

For strikers I think we may see a surprise for 3rd choice. It will be Kane, another striker (whether that is Soldado or someone else is unknown) and a youth striker imo, possibly Shaq.

3rd keeper, possibly McGee will also be included imo as part of the club/homegrown u21 players that will be needed.

The players that should be making an impact and given a chance are Fredericks, Carroll and Pritchard with Onomah being the dark horse to surprise everyone and break in to our squad.

Player who could surprise everyone and make a debut next season: Sterling or even Edwards

I don't think Veljkovic will be at the club, I have a feeling he will go on loan, hope I'm wrong but I don't think he will get his chance next season with his shoulder injury.
Great summary.
Pritchard and Fredericks squad players next season. But CCV and Onomah have more potential IMO.
Could Edwards be a (Raheem) Sterling? Fingers crossed.

Anyone got any more videos of Jack Roles? The goals against Palace were beautiful. My mates nephew plays for the u16's (not sure of his surname, greek although he was born over here). So he said he'd let me know which players are looking good.

Nick Tsaroulla? Only Greek sounding name I can think of in the u16s

Actually on the topic, what is Georgiou's history? I've assumed his ethnicity was Greek, but also that he was born in England and that he'd register with England, end of. But someone the other day, don't remember who, said "I hope he chooses England." So is he eligible for Greece?

Well the majority of people in this country will have an option they can play for while being born here. CCV- US, Maghoma -DRC, Oduwa- Nigeria, KWP - Antigua, Paul/Owens - NI.

Don't know how far the ancestry has to be but going by their names I'd assume that Georgiou can play for Greece assuming one of his parents were born there, same with Stylianides. They'd pbviously have to come calling first. Don't know if it stretches to Grandparents in which case I can pretty much guarantee every player in our academy can feature for a country other than England. Bennetts has featured already for Germany can play for Nigeria but is currently with Eng u16s

Wow, would be surprised if it were a majority, but nonetheless your point is clear.

As far as FIFA regulations go, I believe grandparents are the limit. I just have no idea with Georgiou and it was the first I had heard that he was fair game for another nation, and so more than anything was curious as to whether or not you knew the specifics as they pertain to him.

Dixon
Parrett
Bostock

But don't rule out Barnard, Peckhart or Thelwell.

Bostock was on Talksport the other day. He's found God and the Belgium second tier. Oh, and a smoking hot missus too. One to watch....belting rack on her.

I pretty sure it is the majority. Of the 22 players we have in our academy 1st and 2nd years. 9 are black or mix raced so it's fair to assume at least one of their parents or grandparents were born in either Africa or the West Indies.
Then there are Stylianides and Georgiou who I assume have Greek heritage. Goddard has represented Japan, and Owens has represented NI.

That only leaves Hayford, Muscatt, Loft, Pritchard, Ross and Voss and like Owens some could be eligible for Scotland, Wales, NI or ROI, or one parent like CCV may surprisingly have just been born in a random country.

Regarding Georgiou, no sorry don't know anything specific was just making assumptions.

Haha sorry, I was pertaining to "majority of people in this country" rather than just the academy, as I've wouldn't debate your word on that.

Thanks anyway though, as you know I find Georgiou very interesting as I think his strengths lie in areas of the first team's weaknesses, and of course because I think he's just a flat out good player. Would be very interested to follow him internationally regardless of who he may ends up with.
