The VDV info is rubbish. He is staying. It was a worry for Harry and the coaching staff that since his arrival we did have to change our formation to accommodate him in the free role. But we are in the market for a top CF to play infront of him. Crouch to Sunderland looking very likely. Either a straight cash deal or a swap for Gyan however Bruce is reluctant to let him go but could happen. We enquired for Gervinho and the Lille chairman made it public to try and start an auction and alert the interested clubs. We are looking to bring in a winger hence the Gervinho interest and im told we are interested in Downing and N'Zogbia.. Leandro deal very close now the itk update on him from Brownhead pretty much spot on. Still haggling on whether he will be here at the start of the season and a few future installments... Also told that there could be 2 outgoing transfers next week

Sometimes these kids just amaze me?????? Do any of them actually go to the games. Check out some highlights from 2010/11 season people...VDV will be in 90% of them.
Bought him in Fantasyleague, my top scorer by a mile.

I am honestly more excited about this deal than any other potential deal. Its always a privelage to watch a raw talent flourish at your club. I truely beleive that he could become a big big player. Lets hope he does, at Spurs!

er, what about the huge amount of games these two didn't play this season?
The same applies to whoever we played in the midfield this season, but Huddlestone was never that box to box type, but yes Jenas is and we could certainly do with upgrading him.
Would love to see him come and hopefully develop into a top player.
I think I'd get a bit more excited about Falcao coming though :grin:

Very true. Some movement and creativity, coupled with VDVs skill, would be explosive.
Hoping for the new Berbatov & Keane next season.

One striker isnt going to fix everything, Even if we had Drogba or Falcao up front I could still see them getting horribly isolated and getting marked out of the game. We cant play 4-4-1-1 with VdV dropping into midfield and the wide players hugging the touchline IMO.

Rossi would be wasted there though, he's a central on the last shoulder striker.

Aye to this. People are getting too hung up on the striker as a panacea to all out ills. It wasn't like our strikers were getting put clean through 6 times and missing one-on-ones every match. It is about the team functioning better. Obviously that would be helped by a better class of striker, but Falcao, Rossi, there are no guarantees on either.
