Personally whether you believe ITK or not, this thread is always unmissable the closer we get to deadline day, just to sit and watch which posters mentally fall apart as the hours tick by with no news :ROFLMAO:

100% agree...............it concerns me how little i have done at work in the last week or so and we still have so much of the trasnfer window to go!!

Most of it is passed on in good faith, and it all adds to the fun of the window. Some of it is probably exaggerated or misinformation given to them - others are probably pretty close to the horse's mouth.
Just enjoy it for what it is. I'd rather have some vague glimpse behind the transfer window curtain than feel totally in the dark.

ITK > ITD every time.

This is it for me. I agree with both points but especially the second one.

Beats trying to make sense out of what comes from the mainstream media. Unless it's a cryptic ;)

Where's the 'abrasive' rating?

Was gonna rate this 'useful' but thought the sarcasm might be lost....
What exactly is the purpose of a post like this? I ask because I'm genuinely confused. Threatening to rate a post negatively is pretty lame. So is actually following through on the threat.

Enough of you know about the NFL to usually hate the Patriots and Belichick. But he turned a shitty franchise into a powerhouse in a league that does everything it can to prevent dynastic teams from existing by implementing a system (and a bit of the friendly cheating ;) )

One of the main tenants of his philosophy is to ship anybody with the idea that they actually matter to anywhere. Nobody matters.....not even Brady. The system is the star of the Patriots. Oh and every one of those players knows they can win every game they play. And the reason they lose? Is because the Giants now believe it more. But regardless of teams catching up, the Patriots will always be a top club with Belicihck in charge. Because they system and ethos matter. At the level of professional sport, the differences in ability is miniscule and anybody holding onto some idea that personnel makes a big difference is living in a distant past.

By the way, Belichick is the kind of guy that would sale Modric to Arsenal and tell us to fuck ourselves when we whined about it (and I would whine). He'd then go out and shut us up by winning.

So while too many English clubs toil under the idea of personnel, Borussia Dortmund just got rid of their best player to a bigger club and won a double. The system matters. Lyon won 7 straight titles as a provincial club until they forgot about the system, but after watching Lille and Montpellier, who have system win titles, they are returning to their roots. Udinese continues to sell and compete in Italy because the system matters. And Barcelona became the preeminent club in the world over a 35 year period by incrementally putting more and more faith in a system.

Imagine how far we could go with a system considering we are one of the 15 richest clubs in the world. It's actually both inspiring and depressing.

Spurs don't have enough continuity in management to have a system. Part of that is the fault of the fans and part is the fault of the landscape of an uncapped sport. I'm in your corner overall, though.

Yep agree 100% i would just like to add i did say about the pav deal last january before anyone else as well :p lol

im not itk but pav was always leaving in january! its not rocket science just like jenas will leave us this summer and so will pienaar and bassong! true itk in my eyes is itk given by jj in january on transfer deadline day when he said exactly wahat was going to happen. alot of supposed itk on here jump on bandwagon and say or hear stuff 4th or 5th hand and call things way before they actually happen. i mean potl has called verongthen a spur- well if thats the case why bother or have a need for a medical. its not 100% till he passed right!?

too many itk's love the attention but deep down its just guess work imo, stuff they get off rags that little bit earlier
