I know the game was pretty much over by the time he came on, but another assured performance from Carroll as well. He looks so comfortable on the ball.

To be fair, my grandma could have given their midfield a run. They were shocking.

Question is how do you drop Defoe in this form for Adebayor?

Possibly a better question is does Defoe deserve to be dropped for Ade?

Brilliant result though and we will have Parker and Ade back next PL game and the rest around new year

Whilst I find Arsenal's current position/plight most amusing, i'm trying hard not to attach too much to it right now because as we found out last year, he who laughs last, laughs longest.

Slight concern is people labelling these next few games 'easy'. Obviously they are winnable but I don't fancy Everton away with the form Fellaini is in and Swans have showed today they are certainly not mugs away from home.

Dempsey to the left, Ade and Defoe up front.

That's assuming Bale wont make it back for Everton!

You must love Carroll. Came on for 5 mins and gave the ball away at least twice

Not really. I've generally downplayed his performances and think he's got a long way to go, but I thought he looked pretty decent with his movement and passing.

Wasn't paying as much attention to the game due to crappy stream and being engrossed in the Rugby, a nice win in the end though and we have a good bit of momentum going with three wins in a week. Todays other results couldn't have gone much better either!

I agree. I'm just taking it one game at a time. I take the highs in the same cool snake eyed manner as I accept the lows.

Good reaction from Sigurdsson, looked determined, hard pressing and covered ground, could have shot to impress AVB but very unselfish pass to Defoe, great attitude..

4th in the table and a very convincing win. That coupled with Arsenal's loss, Chelsea's loss and West Brom's loss, as well as a token victory for England against the All Blacks in the Rugby make this a great day for sport in general.

I was particularly impressed with us defensively. Naughton was solid at right back, and Sandro and Dembele are so hard to break through in the middle of the park. With that central midfield combination we can continue to look solid at the back, and we can go far this season, since we will always make chances at the other end.

Fulham had a few close shaves, but I was never particularly convinced they'd score today, and whilst Defoe may not be the best at holding the ball up, he has now scored 9 goals in the league. That's the same as Van Persie (unless he scores a hattrick now against reading!). Give him a chance and he'll score. It is important to remember at this point that goals are the aim of the game. You need to score them to stand a chance of winning, and Defoe's pretty good at that!

Great away support too!

Capitalized on a bad day for the rest of the CL challengers.

Can't be unhappy. Should give Siggy and Dempsey more confidence too.
