madrid spur on ftl:
Deal is not dead at all.
Valencia want to maximise the deal, and are looking for, in their eyes a littel more in the cash part. Our offer is close enough that an agreement will be made.
Soldado has agreed terms in principle and when the agreement is made between clubs (expected to be this aftrenoon tomorrow morning) the rest will move quickly.
Not listening...nope....madrid spur on ftl:

Levy is utterly clueless with transfer negotiation unfortunately. Obviously a bright bloke, but a complete novice when it comes to big deals like this.
i remember him having decent spanish itk in the pastThis Madrid Spur, is he any good?
L'Equipe saying we've contacted Lyon to ask terms for Gomis. Getting on a train to Desperateville via Panic Central.
I havent, thats why i am doubting all those people saying that " Levy has fucked up yet another deal"Where did you read DL is in Valencia?
Maybe so but it's a Levy-esque move.Yeah agree... if we are playing hadball over our original offer and not upping it (maybe even because they have confirmed a new striker), then fine... why should we!? In business you do have to be hard and even ruthless....
BUT If we lowered our offer (and I am not sure I believe we did), then I would be pissed, as that is the kinda thing that blows your chances of signing not just that player, but others too. Word spreads, DL is already knows as a hard negotiator and will undoubtedly have people immediately going on the defensive before we even start. Hard but fair is fine, Hard turning into ruthless dick is NOT.
To be honest I don't believe it, I think the rumour has come about due to us not upping an offer.

doesn't sound like negotiating to me. Sounds like they've closed any potential deal which means we've pissed them off in some way.

hmm so Levy is going to deal with the man that said this about him?
"The negotiation with the Tottenham directors has been the hardest I have ever had to undergo in these 25 years.
"We had email exchanges which have been contradicted, so that's made it very complicated. It's difficult. The Tottenham board's theory is to explain that the economic market is very hard and so we have to get used to renegotiating.
"But for us, who are attached to a player of the quality of Hugo Lloris, and such is the value of the transfer, that causes us to ask questions.
"He has agreed personal terms with Tottenham, he remains under that impression, but since we have had Hugo Lloris on the telephone for a long time overnight and this morning and he's completely undecided about what happens next.
"We've been negotiating all night. The first negotiation was at the start of the window, about a month-and-a-half ago, through an intermediary who was a French lawyer, who lives in Lyon.
Maybe so but it's a Levy-esque move.
Thing Levy has to get is there isn't a plethora of top quality strikers available in the market, this is last chance saloon for him... Surely the 4 million if reports are true can be covered by an outgoing.
Rossi is the one he is meant to have done it with back about a year before we ended up going back in with that alleged bid of around 30m
