Soldados been poor for us, but Defoe still offers barely anything in comparison. Theres a lot more in Soldados overall game than there is in Defoes game. Last year Defoe got 3 assists despite playing 34 PL games with 27 starts with a return of 11 goals. This year Soldado has 5 goals and 4 assists in 19 starts and he's playing awfully; yet still has a marginally lower goal scoring record but almost double the assists in half a season less. Soldado has also been rumoured to be carrying an injury for a while throughout Dec-jan

The one thing that people have defended Defoe for is that he scores goals, apparently. Actually, maybe that shouldn't be plural. One PL goal in 2013

Just seen the result. Never a surprise when we have Rose, Dawson, Lennon, a teenager who is being played way too often in a mish-mash formation all being led by that clown.

But don't worry, we have no right to moan or criticise - our squad has enough numbers (quality is of no significance), whilst he is just getting to know the players of the club he "knows inside out".

Sadly I have fallen completely out of love with my club this season; nit sure it will return any time soon.

No, this is a fact:

I'm not trying to just defend Soldado, he's been a poor signing. Just don't agree with the notion that Defoe is anywhere as good, or better

He hasn't been good so far overall, but has been good in some matches but you probably choose to ignore those, and is still a good player.. I'm not saying he has been good for us, I'm just saying he isn't a shit player like you are claiming him to be

The problem is right now we look like a bit of a joke (ok, a bloody big joke then) to other clubs and their fans. Selling a striker at the end of Feb and having no replacement (don't anyone dare say Harry Kane), no quality full back cover at all,if you call Rose & Walker quality, Aaron Lennon and sorry to say it but a bit of a clueless and well out of his depth, temporary manager

Sadly for us Roberto Soldado has been a huge flop. If he played for any other club with those goal stats we would all take the piss

We will take a huge loss on him in the summer but some spanish club will still pay around 14 to 15m for him
