your think that as footballs just a job to him he would be open to a move to one of the rich middle east clubs for a last big payoff. Surely one of the 'Al' clubs would have him?

Was there any itk from JJ that bridges between the club and Benny were completely gone? .. Just wondering as I still feel he'd be good backup for Davies and allow us to cash in on Rose. Is he a pariah in the squad now?

Pictures not allowed - but brilliant bit of work from people spotting Ben Davies clear as day in the training video released by Spurs today. Hilarious Media mess from Spurs once again.

It's simply tragic.

Would like to know why our comms is so atrocious all-round. That's one peice of ITK I'd like. Never used to be so bad, but since Williangate there seems to be lockdown on everything. OTT.

Anyway, at least we get our first stoof stamp.

It really depends on what money we've got available.

Whilst Griezmann is a top quality player, we need a passing midfielder, a striker and a centre back more at the moment so if we were going to go for Griezman we'd have to be certain that there was enough cash to get the rest of the positions filled.

Would love to have him...but just don't see it happening.

I'd agre with that.

Assuming that we have signed Davies and Vorm and sold Sigursson, I'd have thought our next priority was a new CB - either to reolace Dawson or Kaboul if we think he will not return to the formof 2 years ago or even tio replace both - but the only ITK I can recall links us to Louvren (but 'Pool seem happy to pay an inflated price for him) and a 'young but good' CB. Have I missed any other ITK on CB's ?

Next priority on the agenda could be the creative CM and/or striker (which both require sales of existing squad members) - but surely the CB is next ?

It's not tackles they need to be worried about, it's being crowded out and outmuscled all the time. These players have quick feet and plenty of skill but they won't pass opponents easily in the PL unless they get stronger. I personally think it's an unnecessary and risky purchase that we could do with out.

Walcott has years of PL experience behind him and a bit of strength. He knows what kind of challenges to expect so he always makes sure he receives the ball in space. As for the other two, they were both much less effective last season than they were the season before(Ozil obviously being at RM not Arsenal). They found space more frequently than I'd expect our line up too, as they play their home games on a much bigger pitch and they had Ramsey behind them who was excellent both running with the ball and without it.

Look, I'm not saying not saying it won't work but I think there's a lot of reasons to suspect it will be difficult. I'm against the deal because it's a lot of money to spend on a player that I don't think offers what we need. It's all very well being able to pass the ball or knock it past a man but players will block them double up and crowd them out whenever possible so I'd rather the money went on defenders or adding experience that I believe we're sorely missing in attack.

If you were talking about wing huggers then you might have a point, pretty easy to edge them out but all three play a a much freer game and have the ability, agility and pace to attack wide or narrow, interchange and pass well. The third point about passing well is an important factor though because it's not just about a players having an ability to play a pass, it's about other players making the runs and finding the space to provide decent outlet. Having that makes defenders trying to knock players off the ball somewhat redundant, because the player with the ball can play the pass leaving another player threatening the defence whilst one defender is committed. He can of course foul the player, but fouling a player without the ball not only may yield a free kick in a dangerous area, but also might get them a red rather than a yellow and would most likely draw a yellow a lot sooner than a less blatant foul.
So for me the ability to have three such players not only makes the attacking options far greater it also enables the players greater chance to avoid the crowding out and out muscling attempts of defenders

Actually watching a lot of La Liga football I find it amusing that people seem to have an impression that no one puts in any heavy or outright dangerous tackles in Spain. I'm not avid Serie A watcher but looking at some of the Italian defenders over the years they weren't exactly a bunch of pussies either. True the PL is more intense but the gap in intensity between La Liga and the PL has reduced substantially in recent years. Lets not make out Griezmann would step out for his first game like a christian facing a pride of lions after the likes of Pepe, Ramos, Godin and Chassa Puyol have had opportunity to tackle him in recent years he is hardly going to turn up without a very good idea about what he's facing and how to deal with it
For sure he like many others may take a time to find his feet, some players take a while longer but he won't be bullied out of his game

JJ re: Griezmann saying it's glorified paper talk. Didn't say we're not looking, merely hinting that the talks of a bid are glorified?

There will be a reason for Davies not being announced yet but communications from Spurs is atrocious, primarily because the club don't spend any money on it and staff the department with weak willed muppets

So the info from JJ about Schneiderlin depending on Sandro, means we are still operating on a sell first to make room before an arrival. So realistically we have to wait for a CB until Dawson moves out, or Kaboul.. but shows us our Purchase philosophy is based on outs. Our squad is pretty huge and bloated.... dont see much happening this summer.
This guy knows. No net spend, you betcha.

I thought the eye rating was a special rating you received from a Mod, that you're being watched and considered for Mod status or something...
Oh the mods are gonna give a status alright... might not be the one people expected though. :sneaky:

Good to hear Davis and presumably Vorm as well, now done. That seems to be the squaddies sorted... wonder if we will see a proper 1st teamer sorted soon.

10-step guide on How to avoid the "eye":

1. Make sure to mention how well hung A&C is - Exaggeration is allowed
2. Make sure your mum is made available for A&C to Sh*g
3. Don't question the rules
4. If you question the rules, make sure to mention how well hung A&C is, and also leave your mum on his doorstep
5. Donate
6. Don't bash ITKs
7. If you trashtalk ITKs, make sure you donate your house and mum
8. Stay clear of twitter and everything related to it
9. Finish every "non-itk post" with: Oh, and great to see the latest ITK on Vorm...:woot:
10. Send a PM to A&C with a picture of a car driving into a tunnel with the phrase "How penetrating a woman after A&C was there before you would feel like..."

I'll donate 10 bucks to not get banned:bag:
And I admire the girth (funny word) of your penis A&C....

Yours truly

Erm so I get the "eye" for giving some information about our reported interest in a young Argentinian that we actually had Itk about?
