Ultimately behaving like this will win us nothing as everybody else is doing it too. Sooner or later you have to ask yourself what is the point? I'm not sure personally that any victory gained in the style of the Villa and Hull games has value at all.

If this is the future of Tottenham Hotspur then I could not bear to watch. We will be an upper mid-table feeder club behaving like cheats to get other players sent off. What do we gain?

Cheats? Listen to yourself. It's not our fault if other players can't cntrol their temper.

What do we gain? 3 valuable points whilst we continue to try to sort our shit out. A top half spot for now and 3 points further away from the negativity-boosting, morale-sapping pull of a relegation scrap.

If we can't get points playing pretty at the moment, then we need to win ugly to keep it ticking over.

Not knocking your post one little bit because basically i agree, but wasn't Lennon twenty nine million pounds cheaper?
But Lennon didn't appear on Trans World sport as the next child genius who's destiny lay at the hands of playing for the likes RM or Barcalona.

Lennon didn't also play at one of Europes biggest clubs in Roma...

So yeah, it was always going to cost a tidy mint for him to come and join us and yes as I said before, we paid for his potential not the player he is now.

So this question about money is a bit of red herring in my books, as it was not just a simple case of the money. If we give him enough time and put our faith in him and act like fucking fans for once and give him the confidence to develop his game like we did with Bale, Modric. then the price tag means fuck all if he goes for more than what we brought him for.

Not saying you, but I think in general this price tag argument is only being by impatient twats that don't have two brain cells to rub together and would rather see someone fail than be a success, especially if they are not English. Simple because they equate the cost to being an instant success and can't see we paid that much to to develop a potential global footballing rarity and put our name on the map to develop even more future worldies....

Look what did for Lamela, come and play for us....

If you understand where I am coming from? So it is in our best interests not to fuck this up and we the fans are doing everything we can to fuck everything up, because we are so fucking spoiled and impatient.

It's far from ideal, nobody wants to have to go to Hull and have to wait for them to go down to 10 before we look menacing, but that's what happened. It's not the plan, it's not how we intend to win, but we're a shower of shit right now and any win is good news.

Pochettino needs to start earning his money sharpish. Like AVB found out, lack of opposition discipline will only bail you out for so long.

Oh, the irony.
Fans support the players and put our faith in them, but players don't act like little ****s and causing shit in the dressing room... So where is this irony? Oh there isn't one

So take your pathetic cheap shots elsewhere...

Have to agree i thought we was going to lose yesterday before the match started but we got away with it like you say for how long.
We do look like a car crash and i still cant see anything developing under him defence is a joke and we rarely look a threat going forward.
Its not just players the manager doesnt look good enough to me but we have to continue to throw our weight behind him and see what happens.

What a fluke - pity Spurs cannot win against 10 men. This team has no leader - he was playing for the other side. Wait till the Everton and Chelsea game - Spurs are going to get beatings of a lifetime. MoPo - you have been put in a difficult situation - I think the spirit of this team is not just there. I do feel sorry for Steve Bruce - Jan was a disgrace to go down like that. Its Karma - trust me Spurs will be served this against Everton and Chelsea - Lets face it we are relegation fodder, Lamela,Soldier Bot,Pauline,Capoue, Fazio, Moussa - what a waste of Money ! I rather see our youngsters given a chance.

Jesus Christ, people are actually complaining because we're starting to be more cute in terms of how we influence a game? Its about bloody time IMO, we've been far too soft and naive for years.

I think its an absolute essential quality to have in order to successful. Not that we should be indulging in any unsporting behaviour, but being cute and riling the opposition and getting in the refs ear etc - all the top sides are capable of doing this. Playing away from home or even having an off day, these are things that can pick you up crucial points.

I think its already the first signs of a change of mentality. I really welcome it.

We are the Wizard of Oz team right now.

In many areas we are sadly lacking in heart, brains and courage.

I think that 2 come-from-behind wins over teams with 10 men sitting deep are good signs in terms of mentality though, Cos.

We were patient and probing and didn't fall apart. There's a lot wrong with us, but we're standing firm in certain areas. Now, if only we could do that at home...

Can we just talk about Jan's attempted bicycle kick for a second? Because that 'effort' still has me laughing this morning.

I thought Lamela had a decent game....always wanting the ball. Still a few crap passes but he can turn away from an opposition player with ease and make things happen. Should have scored that chance or slotted the ball to the right where we had two players.

What about Ciriches(who I honestly never thought would play for the club again)?? Again, a couple of ropey passes, but at RB he looked decent going forward (he does fancy himself as a ball player) and put a few good crosses into the box. He certainly didn't cause me the same level of panic out on the right as he does when he's played CB. Looks like he'll be on his way in January, but thought he did well yesterday when called on.
