I don't like it I tell you, we haven't played for 9 days, so imo it should of been strongest line up tonight and Sunday, back up in next Thursdays away leg giving strongest line up a week off before final

Honestly, we have a good chance of winning this, so I hope Poch plans well.

We say this every year, yet run into a half decent team (especially quick teams with good movement and counter fast) at the round of 16/quarters and get dispatched out of the competition...

There's a lot of decent enough teams left in this competition, such as the one we are playing tonight, winning it would be an absolutely stellar achievement. We should be very much taking this one game at a time. Winning the thing is a long way off.

Just saw Fiorentina haven't lost away in Europe for 17 matches! Just a stat, but still...

Strange that Soldado starts over Kane.

I'm familiar with that Fiorentina XI...think they are gonna kill us on the counter.

I like this team. Chadli - Eriksen -Townsend is our most balanced AM line IMO. Has creativity, a runner in behind, and aggressive pace. Fairly debatably not our best AM line, but the most balanced IMO.

Also pleased to see Paulinho kept at CM. Is of use there far more than at AM.

Strange:

@BenPearceSpurs: #thfc Stambouli, who's not in the squad, is doing some one-to-one work with the fitness coach in a corner of the pitch at White Hart Lane.

Part of me thinks that playing Paulinho is some kind of way to increase/solidify his transfer value with all of the rumors of Italian clubs wanting to take him off our hands...

edit: but then again I overthink a lot :cautious:

Needed to rotate the side and need to keep guys like Townsend, Paulinho and Soldado confident/fresh/match fit. I see where Poch is coming from with the squad. I probably would have had Vlad in at RB to rest Walker a bit and had Stambouli at least on the bench, though. Not our best team, so obviously worrisome. Hopefully it works out. Would be big for us if it does.

Why are they so many people scared if them.one are at home and we will win this game by 2 or 3 clear goals.
