Not sure what his thinking is here. Playing Paulinho in central midfield is a disaster waiting to happen as we've seen so many times before.

Team is more than capable though.

Not paulinho biggest fan but last time he played in the cm. 2 we won 0 3 and playing against a slower tempo team will suit him

I'm sure we have done this in the past. But if we havent then we should.

I'm sending all my positive vibes to Soldado and Paulinho tonight. I'm squeezing my eyes tight shut (well not at the no as I'm typing) bgdgcjgdbh

But I did there!!! Come on you new age hippies. Send some love. Let's all join in the eyes squeezed shut game!! Type like your eyes are squeezed shut.

Must lay off the green. Lcickcciccjc

Actually this will be the first time this season that Paulinho has played as part of a midfield two. All of his other appearances have been with two other central midfielders alongside him.

Poch really likes to have players on the wrong side, Nabil on the right side in midfield.

I like. Run them ragged with our reserves then unleash the Kane and Moose tsunami.

6-1 spurs.

Quote me.

If that's the case then it's even stranger he's been picked in one tonight. Although I saw him more than enough last season in a midfield two to know he's incapable of playing well in it.

Hopefully he will have a blinder but I doubt it.

Ah true enough. I still count Dembele as a central midfielder - just that against West Brom it was Dembele playing further forward instead of Paulinho.

This is the first game he's played this season with only one other central midfielder in our team. Chadli, Eriksen, and Townsend are all recognised attacking midfielders (well...Chadli and Eriksen are at least).

Many things can come to pass before the final from now and until then. You don't make a hard decision until you have to. What if you lined up strong now and lost a key player to injury. Try to secure results with least amount of risks.

By all means rotate and apart from Leicester in the fa cup his cup rotations have paid off. Maybe poch has seen that it's best to keep tonight tight. Maybe even a nil nil and then just try and nick a win in the away leg.
