Soldado scored one and put one on a plate for Chadli so I think his inclusion was justified. Paulinho on a CM 2 is useless though. Thank God Fiorentina's CMs looked like they were on a day trip from an old people's home.

I know where you're coming from but our record after EL games speaks for itself. We don't have any excuses for not showing up for West Ham. The draw v Fiorentina was disappointing but we created enough chances to bury them and I don't think Soldado was any more guilty than the others.

Makes it a blistering half of football from a team that's still developing and has done amazingly well in only a few months time, going from dimwits to potential destroyers!

The next stage of our - very rapid - development is becoming more clinical.

As long as we are playing aggressive, progressive, fast-paced football like we have been, creating those chances, the execution side will come.

The minute they scored we lost all of that. We really are still quite weak on the mental side of the game at times. Hopefully with time and with Pochettino getting a chance to weed out more of the none hackers in the summer window we will see this improve.

That said it's still early in Pochettino's work not only on the squad but himself as a manager and I have little doubt that both will continue to improve given time.

Exactly. People want to talk shite about Europa and all, but we played at the Lane and will play at the Lane again.

It's nothing but excuses for the players to hide behind, but they fucked up, so they should grow some damn balls and take the blame not shove it on to a schedule. Only losers do that.
