What am I missing on Dembele? To me looks like the same player as always, gets in great positions going forward with no end product and an inability to pick out a pass.

Must be watching a different game from me. Too much standing around, and when players are making runs, nobody is spotting them.

Zardes was decent a few months ago for the US, IIRC. Was terrible in the GC and bad tonight. Good for LA but the MLS is a poor league so you dont really know. With American players in the MLS, how they play for the national team is probably a better representation of their play than MLS due to the overall league quality being league 1/lower championship standard.

It's not. But there are some very good players in the league, which is what we are seeing tonight.

Also feel as though we're treating this like a training game - whereas I'd much prefer us to push on a bit more.
BTW - Dier hasn't been too bad at DM, has broken up play a few times and moves the ball simply and quickly

We were a foot away from 1-1; maybe 7 our starting 11 will start against Manure. Need more support for Kane as I thought Nacer was the worse of the 3. Dief not a DM; roll on the second half.

While Dembele is irritating as he never spots the incisive pass, I'd rather play him on the right over Townsend, who continuously gives the ball away. At least Dembele helps us to retain possession and to bring other players into the game.
