Isn't it typical Kompany starts. He will prob get injured tomorrow having a rest day and out for another 3 months. But he makes this game! Only hope is he's rusty but he's a class act and raises teammates games
Their first PL game away from home without Kompany was against us so I suppose we got lucky there.

That could be a good team for them today if they want it to be.

Hopefully Kompany and Silva aren't 100%

Can't see how kompany can be 100% with the amount of time he's been out? Seems city are pressing the panic button after their woeful defending last week IMO

Fuck. I thought Kompany and Silva would be out, that's a big gut punch.

Our advantage comes from their midfield though, Toure and Fernando won't be able to deal with our press.

Silva and Kompany back. Not too bothered. First game back from their injuries, I think that will be in Kompany's head.

Was expecting him to as well, played well in his last match and against City last time out and we could use his pressing. Still, I guess a good sub to be able to bring on.

I could use Lamela for this type of game but Son is the better player. It's also helpful to have genuine pace on the break against City, as Leicester proved last week.

Would have liked Lamela to start for his industry but Man City are vulnerable to pace so I can see the sense in starting Son.

Should be a good game. Even if we do lose I believe we'll give a good account of ourselves.

Nice team apart from Trippier not playing after his mom performance last game. We will miss his crossing ability.

Their team, on paper, scares me a bit. COYs! Let's do this. Smart play without conceding in 20 then baaam!

City had no choice but to roll out the big guns here and quite what the fitness is of Kompany and Silva will be telling if we press like bastards.

Would of probably gone for Lamela over Son but what with Poch's penchant for changing fullbacks, it's pretty much what most people expected.

Lamela was MOM in the City fixture at the lane and was coming back into form last match. Son doesnt have any where near the pressing ability and has been consistently inconsistent all year. I dont like it.

Last game, Davies and Trippier were immense and Trippier won us the game. You have to reward that performance.
