Missed the goal as my stream went to shit.

Decent first half, some good chances, and really should be a couple or up. Becoming a bit of a habit this.

Fair play to villa though, giving it a go .

Eriksen and Lamela in particular gold that half, the rest not so much.

Glad we got a goal, maybe settle us down

I was all ready to post about how I hate games like this and this slappy bald headed fucker Brad bloody Guzan but then we scored. Nice.

Still hate that baldy though.

Why is dembele dropping so deep??? Some really odd things going on today.

We've been totally out of whack.

League position definitely playing with their heads.

We need to just calm down internally, think only of this game and the shit team we have in front of us and play our normal, intense game and murder them.

Perfect time to score though; they will now come out dejected with their shorts down ready to receive a jolly good thunder fucking.

We just need to stay hard and ram away.

Was Watching Eriksen closely first half and his defending is just woeful ... He just trots along next the opposition doing nothing'.

I get that he has the ability to turn a game, but beginning to feel he's been a bit of a passenger of late

Dier and Alli needs to be better.. They definitely are, but they looked lost.. One is our pivot, one is our linkage upfront.. Whoever in these positions really need to be at their best if not we will not have possessions retained in these two main areas to build our play..

Alli deciding to turn up making a difference there.
Truth of the matter is that beyond the obvious benefits of us scoring that play display much about the mentality of our Alli. He is having a 'stinker' yet his head is still in the game. Good maturity.

Alli has been a little off the pace, but his speed of thought and execution of the free-kick for Kanes goal was fantastic. And that was typical Harry, very good technique and great finish.

Walker other than the odd final ball has been very solid, Lamela has also been very bright, especially that first 20 minutes.

What he said was spot on, Alli just proved it. Play shit then come up with something special. Like Palace.
He's right and that's exactly what happened...? Alli is a great player, not because of his technical ability but because of his physical attributes and his reading of the game

Replied to the wrong person my bad

True though.. Despite the assist for someone who had a week's rest he looks the sloppiest of all of them.

Dembele having one of his 2014/15 games, which I'm sure is just a blip... Has to be as we need him on top form.

To be fair aside from the pass for the goal, Alli's touch today has been Sunday league at best

Not been able to post in here as watching the game on my phone. Great goal, superb quick thinking by Alli but the run, first touch and finish by Kane showed what top class talent he is.

I bet he was taking no end of stick in here for his misses but he keeps going and never let's his confidence drop and we are very lucky to have him.

Of course he was, because our fans are fickle.

And you can 100% guarantee those same fans were cheeringn and singing his name when he scored.

18 Prem goals for 'one season wonder' Harry Kane. Class finish.

Great time to score too. Hopefully deflates Villa, and avoids our players having 15 minutes to dwell on missed opportunities.

Tell you what though...he racks up some yardage with that trotting.

[edit] being sarcastic btw folks...you might not want to be agreeing with me. lol I actually think he jogs with limited intensity, but he does have good yardage stats. Great example why I don't like stats.

I do think the league is getting in the players heads, not playing with the same confidence we were 5 or so games ago, players looking confused and panicked, hopefully a win today will remove the nerves and let the players get over the "mental hump"

I think that's been a fairly terrible half of football. The happy clappers will say 'we've had a billion chances, we are 1-0 up' but we are playing the most inept, open, disinterested, rancid PL team I have ever seen.

Performance wise we have seen frequent errors, poor decision making, barbecued chances and without it Villa players have breezed past us on numerous occasions far too easily.

We'll get away with it today almost certainly due to the steaming pile of horse manure that makes up the opposition, but second half I want to see a smarter, more composed and hopefully more clinical display, because we will need it in the remaining weeks.

Lovely inventive play to get up so quickly and take the quick free kick from Alli. The ball he played to kane was perfect too

Great control and finish for kane to score a very important goal

Hopefully the flood gates will open now

Come on hughy, no-one is going to complain with Kane scores but you can't deny he fails to get his head up far too often.

There needs to be a balance between being too selfish and being too selfless.

Not expecting his to pass when he's through 1 on 1, but when he's just whacking it aimlessly from the narrowest of angles when players are in the box, it's infuriating.
