Alli has been much worse than today.. He still deserves another 25 mins or until we are leading 3 goals.

Probably most have forgotten he's only 19...

Not been able to post in here as watching the game on my phone. Great goal, superb quick thinking by Alli but the run, first touch and finish by Kane showed what top class talent he is.

I bet he was taking no end of stick in here for his misses but he keeps going and never let's his confidence drop and we are very lucky to have him.
He was taking stick for being a greedy bastard, not playing for the team. If he put his head up we'd be 1 up long before that. But great goal and I guess he made up for it in this match so far.

I do think the league is getting in the players heads, not playing with the same confidence we were 5 or so games ago, players looking confused and panicked, hopefully a win today will remove the nerves and let the players get over the "mental hump"

Talking about humps I haven't had one for months, Mrs I said MRS

Think Jan coming back will bring quiet calm back to us. Will help settle us down.

Nerves clear early on but there's been no fuck ups. Need a second to really seal this. Keep villa quiet for 15 minutes and you'd imagine they'll lose heart.

I think that's been a fairly terrible half of football. The happy clappers will say 'we've had a billion chances, we are 1-0 up' but we are playing the most inept, open, disinterested, rancid PL team I have ever seen.

Performance wise we have seen frequent errors, poor decision making, barbecued chances and without it Villa players have breezed past us on numerous occasions far too easily.

We'll get away with it today almost certainly due to the steaming pile of horse manure that makes up the opposition, but second half I want to see a smarter, more composed and hopefully more clinical display, because we will need it in the remaining weeks.
That's what is scaring me, I hope it's a motivational issue. thinking we can get away with a win in 2nd gear... As opposed to more of a deep-set problem.

Because as you said, if we turn this performance in against any of our remaining opponents, we are going to come up scarily short.

Just young players with title winning inexperience finding how to deal with pressure and fans expectations.

After all the awful decision making in that first half we score from a goal which required fast thinking and clinical decision making. It proves we can do it and we should be doing it more, when we set aside the nerves we are clincial.

That was more about instinct. It's when we have men over and time to think about our options when we quite often choose the wrong pass or get sloppy in our execution.

18 Prem goals for 'one season wonder' Harry Kane. Class finish.

Great time to score too. Hopefully deflates Villa, and avoids our players having 15 minutes to dwell on missed opportunities.

And he's missed so many chances this season, if he was as sharp as he was last year the tally would be pushing Ronaldo's record imo.

thank them as you wish,... but what does your BP read now?.... bet it is still high ;):p:playful:

...and of course, it's not over yet

I'm on the Bacardi in preparation for any eventuality in the second half. Not taking any chances.

Some strange comments on here. I thought we played well that half. Both full backs getting forward. Plenty of chances made. Only one chance for them which was poor defending from us. But basically we have controlled the game and looking good to add a couple more second half.

deserved lead that.

we lost grip after 15 mins and didnt gain until the 30 min mark. Credit to villa, they got real tight in the middle of the park and forced errors, but we still created.

Another goal for us should seal it, but i hope to god poch is telling them not to give freekicks away as that gestede fella aint great, but can see him getting another chance or two from set plays.

Rose i thght put in some top tackles as well.
