Alli isn't the finished article and he makes mistakes but he makes things happen.

I can't understand the fucking moaning about this kid.

Dembele, Dier and alli over Mason, Bentaleb, Carrol anyday of the fucking week.
Chill your beans. Anyone say they would rather Carrol over Alli or have I missed that?

Absolutely hilarious to read the amount of people hammering Dele Alli in this thread.

Once in a generation golden boy gets 2 fantastic assists to win us the game and, er... Wow.

Agreed, complacency could set in and from the sports psychology aspect players might decide to take it easy.

We went on to score 10 in the four games after we put 5 past Bournemouth, i can't believe what i am hearing. Scoring goals brings confidence to both the team and the players scoring them.

I hardly think if we had scored a few more it would have had any bearing on the next game, which is Dortmund and we may not score then anyway.

Funniest comment was @yusrisafri saying his second assist was lucky, trying to justify a previous post of his. :ROFLMAO:

The reason some are concerned about our play in the match is that they are looking ahead to much better and more in-form teams we are going to be playing soon and see future problems. A valid way of seeing things imo . As is 'we won lets celebrate' .

Its round and round here on Alli too. Yes he played badly especially in terms of keeping moves going...yes he got 2 assists . Both are valid points too .

Personally I find the suggestion by tv commentators that he should be young player of the year in the Prem a tad OTT..but hey , whatever .

We should have buried them in the first half, so many good chances missed. Two decent goals from Harry was enough for uds to be six points ahead of the scum. The pressure is now all on the scum. COYS!!!!

Yes but they have a game to play.....
6 points ahead of the goonies. (Until they play their game in hand at which point they could be three points ahead or potentially 4. But with our goal difference it could be net 7 or 5)

Goodnight.

I would think only him and lukaku can be considered for that gong!

Who would you vote for? I think Alli is well in the running, a definite contender. As a 'young player' cant think of anyone who deserves it more. Must be close to ten goals and 10 assists in his first season in top flight, ragrdless of his patchy form, he has been crucial to our play this year and is i believe our 2nd top scorer in the league after Kane...

Personally i think your negativity over Alli in this regard is a tad OTT:D

Just listening to the press pass on talksport. One journo says Alli would be the first name on his teamsheet at the Euros, in the defensive midfield position ;)

People should really not be moaning! OK it wasn't our most convincing ever display - but we have got three points, two goals and a clean sheet that we have been lacking for a while in a potential banana skin game.

What we have to remember is this side - young as it is - is facing the huge pressure of a title race for the first time. And it's not like we as a club have a great heritage of title races for them to draw strength from - Spurs have not been in this position for decades. We had played seven games in I think 20 days in the run-up to Dortmund and that is going to be draining for any team. We were awful at West Ham and sadly couldn't hold our lead in the NLD - and then [leaving the whys and wherefors to another thread] the team had a very chastening experience at Dortmund. We were, in fact, having a slight wobble.

It takes strength and courage to come back from that in a high pressure situation. It is something our team are learning for the first time to deal with. And we have dealt with it, by getting a decent win when we weren't at the top of our form. Real champions do these things - grind out results even on a bad day (and I think today's was a better result than a grinding one actually).

The fact that we have done this today - got out of our blip, got the points when they mattered, got a clean sheet again, seen Kane get his shooting boots and confidence back - should be a matter of pride for us, not moaning. It makes me feel much happier about the games to come - and I think our players will be boosted by today and any nerves that might have crept in over the last 11 days will be restored by a confidence lifting, job-done performance. Instead of looking at the flaws in the game, we should look at that. And then enjoy our second place in the table and our lovely goal difference again. This is a wonderful ride we are on - and today showed for me that the players are going to fight as hard as they can for the best possible position we can end up in. Good. COYS.

OK...but I did add a 'hey whatever' ..;)

On another subject , personally the teams I am watching like a hawk , are Spam and Utd . These are the fuckers who would take 4th off us in the event that we don't get the rub of the green in our run in .

So their FA Cup draw is just the ticket (y)
