I completely agree that there must be an issue beyond football. When little Tommy's getting the nod away at Dortmund in a CM2 you know Bentaleb's clearly pissed in Poch's cornflakes.
If that is the case that there is an issue beyond football, I think he is pretty much finished, it would be a great shame to lose a talent like that.

He has not been for while, he need resting

Could be the fans were not happy Lamela was taken off. I know a lot fans were not happy of late when Lamela is taken off.
when the sub was being readied he looked to the line and shook his head obviously thought it was going to be him again, it must be impacting him. Dont get why he keeps being taken off for me we seem to lose momentum when he leaves the pitch.

You say that but some many of the posts on here appear to be from people who don't realise that.

No one will remember the performances at the end of the season.

We could win the next 8 games with the ball bouncing off Kane's arse in the last minute after us having 0% possesion for the whole game and if it results in us winning the league No one will remember.
Well I think the point of these forums is to discuss the game. If after every game we went great, on to the next, then what's the point. Apart from the goals today I didn't really enjoy is. Frustrating and yes, maybe we went into second great because it's villa, but we have played poorly previous 3 games now and we need to find some very good form for Bournmouth and Liverpool

Or maybe his just not good enough? I would like to think that Poch and his team of coaches see Nabil on a daily basis and are making decisions based on that.

Jamie Carragher summing up said it was comfortable he said we might have won four or five, I guess he watched it without the sense of blind panic some of us obviously had.

Still got 2 assists.

Don't give a shit if he had a poor game (which he did), he still created the 2 goals which meant we won the game- and they were both pretty good balls to Kane.

Not that it matters and it will go down as an assist and i am only splitting hairs, but i aren't 100% certain that last pass wasn't intended for Lamela, as he makes a run for him too.

It wasn't immaculate and we were sloppy in the last 10 minutes, but really, the only people who don't think we absolutely walked this match are here on this thread. Everyone who has reported on the game, neutral or pro-Villa, could see that we were consistently superior in every area of the pitch.

Many of the comments earlier in the thread, especially about how we "nearly threw this away" or some-such, are further examples of how a near-miss by an opponent is always due to bad Spurs defending, whereas a near-miss by a Spurs attacker is always the result of bad Spurs attacking. We made a zillion chances, many of them very good, and two of them went in, because we have higher quality attacking players and Villa suffer from attention-lapses in defence. Guzan saved a hatful more.

Villa made a few chances, most of which were less clear-cut than ours, and missed them all, because their attackers are not up to the standard required to score against the Premiership's most stingy defence.

That's a fair reflection of the balance of play and so was the scoreline. We were easily good enough to win this game without undue exertions or panics. And we did. Next.

Walker today: 5 tackles, 2 interceptions, 6 clearances, 3 shots (2 on target), 1 chance created & 80% pass completion (from Windy)

Alli isn't the finished article and he makes mistakes but he makes things happen.

I can't understand the fucking moaning about this kid.

Dembele, Dier and alli over Mason, Bentaleb, Carrol anyday of the fucking week.
