thankfully the kids didn't play like the 1st team today, they actually moved the ball around with intelligence and composure for the most part. a much improved performance but disappointing to only win 2-1, should have been 5 or 6 nil but good to get some points on the board. shashoua and bennetts were the pick of the bunch for me but they all did well.

We had the N.Ireland keeper on trial last year but we decided not to take him.

Sure it was trial? pretty sure Parker was part of the academy and released. He was in squad list. Was gonna mention it but didn't think anyone would care.

You could be right, Luton are pretty good and acknowledging where their youngsters played previously and I've never seen them mention him having a former club so I assumed he was just with us on trial. He played for us in a series of tournaments over a 2 or 3 month period, I'd never seen him before and he was playing for them shortly after so I put two and two together.

Tbh I'm putting 2 and 2 together, going off the fact he featured in tournaments and was mentioned in the squad roster, but then that could have just been the tournament squad and maybe not the actual year group squad. You are most likely right by the sounds of it

tanganga, dinzeyi and brown in the u18s. not sure the latter two really deserve it but then i don't know enough about those at other clubs, think shashoua is unlucky not to be in, he's been very good this past month or so.

Really surprised Shashoua is not in given the form he's been in. Equally shocked that Brown *is* in for the same reason.

Brown is consistent in his place but also better than the other options for England plus can also play CB. the other is Neufville but don't know what's happened to him.

Dinzeyi has some raw ability which I think he's impressed people with considering inexperience. also assume he must have played well for them in past. also sounds like Bennetts has begun to find sine firm like Shashoua.

by the way, does anyone know what's happened to @Spursidol? he hasn't posted in three months, hope he's alright ..

Nope. thought the same as you and SAm's him on twitter with no response. as you say hope he's OK.

My gf showed you can look at likes on twitter and he liked something posted on 27th Oct, so assume he's about somewhere. Sissoko purchase must have really got to him. he needs a break.

His last post was 3rd of August, so I doubt it is Sissoko related since he signed 31st August. Glad to here is liking posts on Twitter, I was fearing the worst.
