Unfortunately, it's not a one off.Our shooting was horrific last night. I'm not sure if was part of the Wembley effect, or if it was just a bad night, but lets hope we find our shooting boots this weekend.

I posted about my concern that we do not look like winners, failing to win in pressure games. Maybe the squad needs rebuilding but maybe we just need a couple of old heads ... perhaps a top player or two towards the end of their careers who can add the winner instinct into the side and influence younger players
Wasn't it Walker's pass?Wanyama has had some very good games for us, but he's also had some awful games. Monaco away, Liverpool away where he was at fault for the opening goal, Gent away. It was his failure to control a simple ball in midfield that surrendered possession which ultimately resulted in Gent's first goal last night. It was also Dier's pass that set Eriksen away for his goal.
QEDWow. Actually wow.
On the face of it maybe, but anyone looking at it could see that it wasn't a cynical, vicious tackle but a desperate instinctive lunge to get the ball back, made all the more reckless because he felt it was s foul that robbed him of the ball a moment earlier, which it was.
It was a straight red no argument, but it wasn't an premeditated cynical assault designed to hurt a player.
I want him to learn not to do it again, but I want players with that determination to win.
There were a number of occasions when we were out of our seats in expectation, only for the shot to go way off target. There is one other source of vexation: I don't know if Dembele has a lover, but they must be among the most frustrated people on this planet, going by the number of times he gets into a good position and then doesn't shoot!Unfortunately, it's not a one off.
I wish we had Van der Vaart now. He would be great for this team. For 60 min although.TOTALLY AGRE WITH THIS!!!
And if it's disruptive influence he's worried about (i.e., "I can't mind-control a veteran player like I can a kid"), then all Poch needs to do is get a player that he's already coached- is long in the tooth- but is a winner!!!!!
We DESPERATELY need a Davids-type player, someone who can marshall the troops, boost morale and/or give the players a kick in the ass when needed! There's gotta be somebody out there whom Poch both loves and trusts and who's an experienced leader-type.
Hell, at this point I'd literally take Edgar Davids!
You got that right! Why waste words unnecessarily when you can sum it up with one?!
Wasn't it Walker's pass?
OK, I read that it was a pass from Walker. I just remember Eriksen scoring, but not who made the pass. I read it on the Spursodyssey report, but it is clearly Dier. Then again, Dier was culpable for their second goal, which killed off the tie; but also the first as stated by Tom Collomosse. No, it was from the right back area but it was definitely Dier's pass.
