Onomah has never played CM for the first team.
We also have Eriksen and Alli who have played CM for us and Winks only played 477 mins in the PL last season and I expect him to get much more this year plus Poch rarely rotates his team.

He definitely needs the loan and professional games. Let hope its the management team coming to their senses rather than it being him on the way out. Will be very short sighted if it's the latter.

He's probably seen enough of josh in training over the last few years and understands his career is stagnating and maybe he needs something new to get his talent out of him
Good for josh .But squad really does look paper thin ,especially with still some doubts over winks and dembele fitness .Expecting Edwards to be getting josh minutes now.And obviously must trust TOB if desperate.Slightly disappointed after his World Cup tbh.

Be good to see him get some game time, Villa could be pushing for promotion this season. Hoping he does go there and gets game time though and not just warm the bench.

Huge club with pressure on them to get promoted, experienced manager.
Was never gonna start any games for us Part from early round cup games .
Now a full season of very difficult football ahead.

Could be good for him, or could easily be the start of his spell in loan limbo. I bet next year it will be 'oh, well now he needs a PL loan - no way he can be trusted'... And on and on it goes.

If he is outstanding for villa, a class above this season (assuming it happens) then he'll be in a much better position.

Actually after initial disappointment it kind of makes sense.Effectively he was 5th CM ,and if desperate eriksen or dele can slot in also TOB may be some minutes.And as AM I guess Edwards takes his place.And if you're saying it's s straight swap at AM Edwards for onomah I'd say we are better off.This is all of course without Barkley likely arrival.All in all prob makes sense but wish it was someone like Brighton or Bournemouth
